This was also the end of the Blazers as we knew them always being in the postseason since the late 1970's when Bill Walton first won the NBA title with them. I dont think Portland ever missed the postseason from the time Bill Walton won the NBA title with Portland until this 2003 postseason. After this 2003 postseason, Portland wont be in the postseason until the 2009 playoffs

With trading deadline looming few months later, the Heat sent Kurt Thomas, Martin Muursepp, Sasha Danilovic, and future pick/s to Dallas for Jamal Mashburn. Two years later, the trade somewhat haunted the Heat as Thomas signed with archrival NYK, giving the Knicks a valuable enforcer and helped spoiled Heat's championship aspirations in 1999 and 2000.

This game was terrible. This was a low scoring defensive game. I hate this era when the game was broken. Games like this is why people switched to the nfl and wwf back in the late 90s

Sabonis, Wallace and Randolph in the starting lineup, that's a huge frontcourt.

1 missed game winner in regulation by Kobe and another missed game-tying shot in OT. He did his thing though and had a great all around game.

Great duel by both Kobe and Antawn Jamison. People may not know before watching this game, but Jamison dropped 51 points the game before against Seattle making him one of the few players to have dropped back to back 50 point games at this point in time (Jordan was the last one to do it during the 1988 Playoffs).
@r3b3lvegan893 жыл бұрын
I've actually never seen a team do what the warriors did this game with Jamison, he was the only player scoring and there was less than 3 passes most of the game and always letting Jamison ball hog and that's not professional basketball. like literally it was basically Jamison vs Kobe the last part of 4th q and ot but at least all the lakers got to score throughout the game and not just Kobe or shaq.

The Hornets had a proper squad but the Lakers had two supertars to rely on and it was just too much for them to overcome Kobe's heroics.

For the team that shot the most 3's at this particular point the Nuggets were hella conservative at the end of the game.
