Well done Stefano! You learnt more in 20 days then a lot of expats living in Thailand learn in years. Good on you for taking the step and having a much better experience in country as a result.

I'm also a student of the Thai Language Challenge and have just passed the 20-day Thai Survival portion of the class. I have to congratulate Stefano on his progress in his lessons. He did really well in his retention and usage of the Thai he's learned. I hope Stefano returns to continue all the way to the end, he'll be great. Now, a note to anyone who's on the fence about joining the Thai Language Challenge: I live in America and am working full-time (pre-retirement) so I can only study in small pieces throughout the day, but the way this is structured allows me the freedom to do that. Each day (Monday through Friday) a new lesson becomes available at 2:30 am Central Time U.S.. I'll watch as much as I can at that time (I work night-shift) and complete it when I get home in the morning. Before I go to bed, I'll complete the homework assignment and speak it into a WhatsApp voice message to my teacher. The teacher (I luckily have Kruu Fah) will listen and provide feedback later in the day. The class videos are terrific, the interactions and the information that goes beyond the great printable materials all go above and beyond to make you feel like you are really there. Combine all that with the Thai Language Challenge Quizlet, a separate (free) app for flash-card based study, and this is nothing but a winner in my book. I signed up for the full 100-day Challenge because I will be retiring in Thailand in 3 years and want to be respectful to the Country I've chosen to call home and integrate myself comfortably into my new surroundings. When I signed up, I was worried I may not be able to keep up with the daily lesson speed - but so far, I've had no problems at all. One more thing to note: once you've started, the tones and pronunciation get easier as you get used to using the language. Don't listen to people who say it's too difficult a language to learn, it is not. The sentence structure is very basic when compared to English and easy to learn. I hope this helps you in your decision making process. Finally, my thanks to Kruu Fah, Kruu Noey, Chris, Adam and everyone who's made this all possible! I'm looking forward to the remaining 80 lessons. Derrick W.

I think the student should learn your Thai name as part of the curriculum. Fah is okay but generic, no offense intended. Just a thought. 💭

Condo I'm at Sukumvit rd - I UNDERSTAND this much - The rest is confusing... but does not have to be.... IF you wrote ALL the translated words UNDER the Thai words... it would make it simple. You did that for "TII" TII means AT - I explained this yesterday HOWEVER , you removed the comment. WHY - I am trying to learn and to help you make it easier for us to LEARN. No disrespect intended at all.

IF YOU WRITE THE ENGLISH WORD UNDER ALL THE THAI WORDS... I WOULD HAVE UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING EASY.
@CARNIVOREat6025 күн бұрын
SUGGESTION.... ANYONE NEW TO THAILAND WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND YOU -YOU MUST WRITE "ALL" THE AMERICAN WORDS UNDER "EACH" THAI WORD. THEN WE WILL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. OTHERWISE WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. YOU "ONLY" TRANSLATED / WROTE THE AMERICAN WORD UNDER TII (AT) IF YOU WRITE THE TRANSLATION UNDER "ALL" THE WORDS IT WILL MAKE IT 100 TIMES EASIER FOR PEOPLE TO LEARN. :)

Here are the colours we went over written out in English, Phonetics, and Thai Script (in that order) to make it easier for you to remember and practice: 1) yellow - sǐi lʉ̌ang - สีเหลือง 2) orange - sǐi sôm - สีส้ม 3) red - sǐi dɛɛng - สีแดง 4) green - sǐi kǐao - สีเขียว 5) navy blue - sǐi náamngən - สีน้ำเงิน 6) purple - sǐi mûang - สีม่วง 7) grey - sǐi tao - สีเทา 8) black - sǐi dam - สีดำ 9) white - sǐi kǎao - สีขาว 10) sky blue -sǐi fáa - สีฟ้า And remember... if you want to refer to a colour as 'light' or 'dark' then you can add the following words to the end of that color: 1) light - ɔ̀ɔn - อ่อน 2) dark - kêm - เข้ม Now a question for YOU... what are your three favourite colours? Answer below! When you are ready to Learn Thai the Right Way, join my next Thai Language Challenge. Learn More here: www.thailanguagechallenge.com/a/2147830747/rqmwkgGR
