People need to remember that there has and will always be a fight between good and evil. The evil is responsible for all the hurt and it happens because God gave us free will. And we are the ones who if we choose evil brings the bad down upon us. And if we choose to believe in God he may not take out burdens away but he lessens them.

Fail video they always leave out that God gave us free will so we choose, not him. They are using woke wording to make a narrative without full context

I appreciate the respectful way you address these questions. So often Christians treat all athiests as sinners, but some just have questions and want to understand. Sadly the Bible is just not very clear when searching for those kinds of answers. I'd love to check out your book.

You touched on the idea that love allows people to make a choice. God not did create us as "robots". If evil no longer exists in heaven, does that negate free will? Do we then no longer have a choice?

I love listening to you John. I'm so excited every time you preach because I learn so much. I will usually listen 2 or 3 times just to pick up what you said. Because so often it is so profound and yet so simple. I have read your book and given it away to at least 3 other persons. It has helped me immensely. John touched on some things tonight that we have been talking about in our Bible study group from West York. We have been studying Cold Case Christianity by James Warner Wallace. We have been talking a lot on how to answer tuff questions about how we can trust what the scriptures say are true, John mention Polycarp & Irenaeus who we just discussed in our Monday study group. Yeah there's no God in the Bible it states that the Earth is a flat disc and it's held up on pillars it supports slavery rape human sacrifice. It also supports logical fallacies like God who knows the end from the beginning the beginning from the end putting Satan into the garden setting his creation up to fail and then offering up himself as a sacrifice for something that he caused. You see the logical fallacy of the Bible can only be believed if you are illogical if you're someone who has drink the Kool-Aid. Like I did has an Evangelical for 34 years. You have to come to grips that that book you have in front of you is trash I'd recommend looking up a guy by the name of Matt Dillahunty Aaron Raw and Seth Andrews. And I would highly recommend you listen to those guys as well as think critically about what it is you are literally basing your entire reality on I was indoctrinated from birth to believe in a book that has no scientific basis and that literally teaches that a chosen race called the Jews were held in Egypt where there is no archaeological evidence of this ever occurring the amount of evidence proving that The Exodus story is fake as well as everything else in the Bible is overwhelming. The only reason why I was so brainwashed for so long was because this is what indoctrination does to you it shuts down your critical thought and makes you into a drone who cannot think critically

I was at the One Day conference that you brought your friend to for a conversation. It was genuinely the first church-sanctioned event that showed love in that way. Not love in conversion, but simply love in conversation and understanding. Thank you so much for this video. It was a great reminder of not only the place of disbelief I came from, but where the intentional care from others has taken me in my relationship with Christ.

I am a Christian who has clinical depression. I will tell you this not everyone with depression wants to end their life or has thoughts of suicide.

I have only listened to this pastor for the first time today and I am only halfway through the video and I can TOTALLY feel the sincerity in him. It is rare to hear someone who totally understands. As someone who has been touched by anxiety and depression (I say that because I see them as foreign entities that had evaded my mind) , anyway, I can honestly say that it is refreshing to listen to this pastor for lack of better words. I don't believe that things happen by random, it was meant for me to hear him today and I am GLAD that I did.

I think the more important information is that literally hundreds of people across all LCBC campuses - men, women, children, whole families, retirees....donated generously of their time, finances, sweat equity, construction and mechanical and artistic abilities....all to create immersive and welcoming environments where someone might come to experience church and hearing the word of God for the first time!

Wonderful job Matt, you were always so creative at berks, I think my favorite was Aladdin back in 2017 or 2018, but you and your team turned your atrium into something you could charge people to enjoy and be engulfed in a true wonka experience, but obviously none of this is dobe for money, it's done to attract people and show them how we do church, as for the build the chocolate waterfall and everything around it was probably the best build I've ever seen, congrats to you and your team for doing this for the ONE

Amen !!! Sister, Thank you for this message that God put on your heart because, I need it . I need the reminder that God doesn't promise a problem free life. That is no where in the Scriptures. Jesus tells us the Truth even when we do not want to hear it or we do not like it. He could have said sure everything will be hunky dory , but that would be a lie and God doesn't lie! Thank you for the reminder that trying to hold God accountable for things He NEVER said or promised is a recipe for trouble, and God's goodness is not based in our circumstances, it is His character who He is. I will be listening to this many time over in the future to remind myself of these Truths.
