People have suggested matching the characters differently, and all the suggestions are interesting, each in their own right. Now that's notable! Usually, with crossovers, particular combinations tend to dominate. I think this shows how very complex both DDLC and OMORI are, in many ways. They don't map one-to-one. Even an imperfect combination provokes a reaction in us because the matched elements are so compelling. And both games have such elements in spades! Here's one combination: Monika is Omori. MC is Sunny. Yeah, it sounds odd at first. But it would fit the idea of Monika/Omori trying to seize control. MC/Sunny is the bridge between a fake world and the "real" world. OMORI doesn't break the fourth wall as DDLC does, so Faraway Town would be equivalent to our actual world. Beyond that, most of it breaks down lol. I do, however, like the shared fact that both Monika and Omori hang around with characters who aren't real.
