I heard the same thing about the money being sent to Afghanistan. I believe Shawn Ryan discussed it in one of his more recent interviews on his KZfaq channel. It is absolutely infuriating. Thank you for talking about it! And I agree, this country needs a drastic change in the direction it is heading. Personally I feel that the election in November could make or break this country. I hope and pray that more Americans are waking up to the truth and that this country gets back on the right track.

@@cabinviewventures One more thing. Watch your oil levels. Every engine is probably different, but my truck was burning about a quart per 1000 miles pulling my RV. I change my oil and filter every 5k. At 25,000 miles I changed oil brands to Royal Purple. It's oil engineered for higher performance engines. The 6.6 gas is a high perfromance engine in many ways. I drove over a thousand miles just 3 weeks ago, pulling my RV and didn't have to add a drop of oil. I'll continue to keep an eye on that, but thought you'd like to know.

I thought of another question, and you seem so informed I thought I'd ask you. I heard one person say that in order to help keep the heat down inside the bed in the heat of a hot summer when the Diamondback HD is closed most of the time, they put some kind of silver insulation up high on the underside of the bedcover, I assume maybe to fill the spaces between the horizontal reinforcements. Unfortunately, he didn't say specifically how well it worked. Do you have any experience with this, or any thoughts about it? I was thinking, if I put some decent insulation between all the horizontal cross supports on the inside of the cover, thick enough to fill the spaces, I could still mount things to the cross supports on the underside of the bedcover if I chose to. Thanks. It's such a good looking and useful cover, but this heat issue has concerned me some, for it can get very hot in the summers where I live, snowy and cold in the winters, but quite hot in the summers.
@cabinviewventures
@cabinviewventures 11 күн бұрын
That’s a good question and honestly I’m not sure what the best solution would be. I never noticed any issue with the heat. I also never kept anything sensitive to heat in the bed. On our beach trips it was fine with the bed loaded on hot 90 degree humid days. I can’t imagine it would be different than inside the cab of the truck with sun beating through the glass. I would try it without the insulation and see what you think.

Yes, I agree with you! In my area central Wisconsin, land is being developed into subdivisions, apartment complexes, and businesses. With that being said, there are plenty of vacant buildings that could be utilized first. They arent making anymore land and its sad to see it disappear so quickly.

I bought one exactly like yours (same color) and have about 400 miles on it now. Gets about 13.5 all around. Rides a little hard with the recommended 60 front and 80 back tire pressures. I have reduced the rear pressure to 60 and it does ride better. Will be following on up dates to see if you have any problems. I'm with you, I would rather have latch tailgate. Keep us posted on the reliability of the truck and if you have any problems. The only thing I don't like is the high step in even with running boards. I am thinking about adding AMP electric step boads with will help with the step in, bit they cost about $2000, but I think they will be worth it. Keep us updated on your truck

My parents have a house that’s surprisingly similar to yours. Must’ve been built around same time period or something. They live on a green belt and deer come up all the time. One of my favorite memories when I lived with em was shortly after they got it there was a rundown gazebo type deal outside the side door. Looked out the window one morning to see maybe eight or so deer and a couple elk just chilling.
