Would this cause the front driver's side breaks to lock up? I had this issue last week...the guy at advance automotive rigged me something until the part came in but since then my front brakes locks up. It's hard new caliper, pads, rotors and inspected twice.

Thank you for a very helpful video! A couple things I will add in case helpful to anyone… I could NOT break that top tab despite yanking in many different directions. The tab at least on my ‘93 was quite thick and I was afraid I might damage the area around trying to break it. Finally, I removed the vents without breaking anything. I used a small screw driver in the middle left side of both vents to pry out and also used a small hook pick (like you get at harbor freight to help grab (also on the left side). Look up TEIN EDFC ACTIVE and ACTIVE PROElectronic Damping Force Controllers. These are used with Tein coilovers that replace the stock ECS feature. All the ECS does is changes the stiffness at certain speeds. I'm using the Megan Street coilovers and you can adjust the dampening (stiffness) manually. Megan Coilovers are probably the best cheapest coilover for these cars. I didn't run into any issues with the bushings either.

So… another thing I’ve noticed about this issue is that it never happens if the car is sloped down to the front (I back it into my driveway) and it always happens if it’s sloped up to the front. It leads me to think there’s something happening with oils ability to 1) uptake/ flow/ reach the piece making the rattle when the car is in a specific position, or 2) runoff. When stopped operating the oil runs off/ out of any delivery channels, or keeps the oil in those spaces depending on the positioning of the car; resulting in unlubricated parts or inactuable functions (rattle) until the oil pressure gets there. assuming oil stays in some pockets of the channels or near the rattling part when it’s parked tipped down to the front

These didn’t work on our siding door. It cost $2,700 to take out the sliding door to replace with a swinging door before this device worked. The cost of the spring: $11. The cost of the new door: $2,700. Total cost $2,711. Works great!

Sr by rattle does it mean you can feel it inside the car like in the steering or something? I wonder if this is still an issue on civic tenth gen. Mine is 2018 civic and in the morning i can also hear short high pitched screeching noise if i start the car. I'm not sure about the rattle though.

The plastic clip will fail and fail, i won't buy another clip ever again. Through the broken clip and through the hole in the glass that the clip go's into, just thread a strong zip tie or three to hold the glass to the broken clip. They might last a year, they might last two ? but a lot cheaper than buying clips.
