What happens to my well built 7 year old is he tends to panic and blank out when someone mounts on him .. he is otherwise quite intelligent but somehow during competitive sport he just gives up at the first instance

the grapevine is way to easy to eacape or simply injure your opponent or attacker. Bringing the feet together and using hooks correctly depending on which direction the bridge going is much more effective.
