Few saplings could be chained to the two tracks to improve traction in deep mud. Others, believing their armoured sides, tankers frequently added extra protection by adding tank tread, as one here has done, to protect the sides from shells puncturing the body of the tank. At times aplicay armour, steel plates, have been welded on, which is more likely to be more effective.

Grandfather was a airforce recon sniper He said aim for the hips they were told to take people out of combat just not how Not to mention a hip shot with anything stronger than a 22 will shatter the hip which is next to the largest arteries

When you shoot one person it takes more people to come out and get them. And that is why you go for centerpoint shot but by the way don't do this this is the stupidest thing you can do. You can shoot the lieutenant or the sergeant but what for every love of God do not shoot the dock cuz if you shoot the korman oh s***

Wounding is sometimes better than killing, but if you are in a position where you can take out a target of importance, such as a enemy sniper, machinegunner, or officer, you take a priority target so the enemy becomes disorganized
@hotdogmanv28918 күн бұрын
Isn’t it because they want to wound someone and cause more hasstle for the enemy since they have to go and get him and also treat him?
@Finlay-mw6hz8 күн бұрын
no its because the head isnt an easy target and its easier to hit the chest and if u get shot by a 50cal u might aswell be dead

Doesn’t make sense to me, especially when so many high ranking Nazis easily fled, do you really think that Hitlers brother didn’t have that opportunity?
@History__Unknown8 күн бұрын
Hitler's reaction to his generals fleeing Berlin during the final days of World War II was one of anger and betrayal. He saw it as a sign of cowardice and abandonment, believing they should have stayed and fought to the end , and Hitler did order the execution of several generals and officers whom he perceived as disloyal or as having failed him during the war.

@@History__Unknown In the bunker of Hitler everyone knew that Berlin couldn’t hold allies, it was the last stand of nazis, why did his brother decide to flee at the end? I feel like something is missing in the ending story of nazis, I say that as someone who went to a German school for 7 years and studied their history

wasn't his brother in law. He was executed on April 28th 1945. Hitler didn't get married until April 29th 1945

It was also cheaper to put an turret onto an Bunker than build a whole tank or if the Turret still worked an damaged tank would work as an emplacement too

Well, the main reason was their forces were overstretched and, short of reinstating a war cabinet with conscription, couldn't sustain sufficient forces. Keep in mind, bordering Vietnam was two other wars against communist guerrillas which bogged down the British and many Commonwealth forces in the region: Borneo and Malaya. In Borneo, a mini cold war was developing with the new country of Indonesia as well, which tied even more forces down. But Malaya, while not as well known as Vietnam, was just as violent. Added to the threat of internal Communist forves was the added issue of Chinese Communist forces also feeding into the conflict, and the high risk of the PRC itself getting involved. Between all these factors, so far as the British were concerned, after handing Indochina back to the French in the late 1940s, it was their problem; the British had their own fights to deal with, and no American support to do so (although Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Kenya and Nepal all sent troops, planes and ships at various times to support the Malay, and later, Malaysian government forces).
