Thanks for sharing your writing process. I'm deep in the middle of publishing my first book and have been kicking myself over word count so this was reassuring!

I just finished. My hatred toward Leeds grew so much as he repeatedly used Willow. But as predicted, I enjoyed the ending. In the middle, I was literally hoping a bad ending for Leeds. 😭

As a theoretical physicist with diabetes, who also likes twilight and can mould into what people expect of me I can relate to the main character, however she is quite childish and the conversations were very weird and kind of cringe. The whole feud with the hedgehog was dumb. I wanted to like this book so much, but Dr Hannaway and I are completely different.

So sad 🥹 are you going to read the second book? I read this one, enjoyed it but then I read ‘if he had been with me’ and that one hit me way worse! Defo recommend that one!

How on earth people are calling it a six star read is baffling. I gave it a generous 2* - there was so much more opportunity. With other characters, and how interesting would it have been if when she asked if Gus knew her dad as they were neighbours for so long, if he would have said yes and shared. I can’t help but think they were literally writing notes and watching each other from house to house, he could have shared interactions he had with her dad? Look the whole thing was not it, cults, lack of emotion because of too much emotion? I don’t even know how to describe it. I hate it ahah

This is so crazy that Verity reminds her of Blake Lively, with recently Blake being casted as Lilly in Colleen Hoovers new movie “it ends with us” based off of her book.

I just finished Redeeming 6 😭😭😭😭 I loved it so much. I agree about Shannon, I felt terrible for her but it got kind of annoying when she was constantly needing reassurance. I understand why but it was hard to get through her POV a lot of the time.

John Green would be an amazing dinner guest. I would love to meet him, as reading him made me felt seen as a teen. Now, as I try to work in the global health space, I feel further seen. So cool that we share this! (thank you for taking the time to make this video- getting to know your content atm, and this is a great intro)

I have like 100 pages of this book remaining and I was just curious to know how did you like the book and so I saw the spoiler free review by you right now. Not having read the novel entirely yet, I can’t conclude my thoughts for it but yeah I agree with the part where you say…didn’t know what to expect. Until half way through the book, I didn’t know what’s coming up and where are we leading to but the 2nd half had me hooked with the details. Yes, it’s more of emotional dark drama rather than mystery and yes I relate to you for the feeling of sadness felt. And I feel that’s because the book is talking about only Ellie’s story. Even when the novel is not presenting her perspectives, the talks are only about her and she’s the one who suffers. Generally, in dark novels, the main character is dark and so there’s that feeling of wow. Here it’s completely different.

I agree completely. I LOVED the story as a whole but the writing and the pacing was hard for me to get past. Unfortunately I think the movie was pretty terrible. Certain scenes that I loved in the book came across so cringey in the movie and I just pictured Tate looking different to honest haha

Hey.I found your points of view about the book useful and interesting as the one who is gonna read Emily Henry for the first time and needs advice. I’m thinking about two books:Book lovers or People we meet on vacation.Which one do you recommend to read ? Which one is more flowing to read on a summer day ?( Planning to read it in summer)❤

Nah this book is creepy as fuck and perpetuates really weird shit. Romanticizing SA and a hypocritical “love interest” who literally rapes a girl and then is like “oh you’re mean to women >:(“ Disgusting
