This is probably my favourite mountain in Glencoe. I havent managed to climb a mountain yet but it's on my bucket list. I haveloads of photos of it for now though and we always stop off there when we go. Also, what breed of dogis that? He's absolutely beautiful. 😍

I was born here in 1958 when it was a maternity hospital, ten years after Lulu! So sad to see the place of your birth in such a state. Not many folks can say that they were born in castle, my late dear mum always said I was special😉😉

Such a shame to see the amount of rubbish dumped in what used to be a lovely place, our town and country walks nearby are facing the same fate, with dump dumpers.

What is the real, true history of this castle? And no lies please.
@racheltaylor65782 жыл бұрын
The Kincaid family of Lennoxtown built it as a private home in the 1830’s..It later went on to become a psychiatric hospital.It was bought by an Irish company who did nothing to restore it and it later was the victim of an arson attack which weakened the structure leading to the collapse of masonry..

Their castles lies in ruins. Certainly a failing, falling and diminishing kingdom. Their doom is sure and certain. Only the coming Kingdom of Jesus Christ will stand forever.

This use to be a mental hospital. It had a sad history, and only closed 2001
The gov or a Billionaire needs to go and restore it. Yes the floors have fell through because they were wooden. See "House built in the Caribbean" videos... They build houses now with cement floors between the levels, and with cement roofs. Let them teach you. - One of the major crimes of humanity is that they let these beautiful monuments to the past just fall apart.

I'll never understand letting a fine house/castle fall into ruin. Such a waste and disrespectful to the people who built it.
