yeah not bad, Talon is good. dont think ill ever sell this one! not happy about the price of road tax on it now though. every year it seems to go up by £20 to £30! not right!

@@DrivenByGeorgeJexter I didn't pin the cams, I've done it that many times I know where they line up. However you do have a little hole that you can stick a drill bit or Allen key into. Sadly one is behind the starter motor but you can get it in

@@johndragonman thanks i dont see start motor locking pin… all i locked up was cam shaft pulley & marked the rest but it moved i think slightly but would that made a difference ? Sounds all good i think by 4mm the fuel injection pump pulley moved

@@DrivenByGeorgeJexter if you have the dw10 HDI the fuel injection pump does not need to be timed. Only the cam and crank need to be timed. the engine will not fire if the cam and crank are not in the correct timing.. the 1.9 is different as they will run without the ECU being plugged in.. all be it rough and very smokey. The ECU is only there to refine the injections. Only for the 1.9 wd8. A damaged crank sensor causes all kinds of hell.. as I found out.

if the positive of the new power supply should be applied to both capacitors, shouldn't they be connected on the PCB?

the caps only exist for smoothing. the replacement power supply has them in it already. also one year on and still working great!

@@johndragonman I fixed it this way, works perfect now. I noticed a diode gets hot, so I will replace that later and test again without power injection. but thanks a lot for your tip, works great and saved me a lot of money!

ill say one thing. dont. the mk4 dash is the worst dash i have ever done work on. its hell. theres that many screws and parts its insane. you would need to retrofit the whole mk4 dash.. totally not worth it. i have take dashboards out of many things.. but the mk4 is something ill never do again.

Hello... this was posted 8 years ago, but anyways, i will try my luck to ask.. when I have the punto wiring (i believe the same as yours), there is main connector on the engine wiring which you are plugging into the car wiring (10 cables? Big red one, orange, brown ect. - i dont know exactly but i think i saw it near yours fuel pumps..) which pins do i need to plug and where to for ecu to give any sparks? Im not talking about fuel pumps, light, dash - only about sparks. I have deleted immobiliser on my ecu.. do i need to plug it anyways? Im doing swap from 1.0 ie. Cat to 1.2 8v with 16f ecu and im desperate after everything Ive done and still it isnt working. Thanks very much.

on mine i simply used everything from the Punto. the only thing i had to connect to the original panda wiring was the live and the ignition live. the rest i used the original punto wiring. i saw it as a car having no engine wiring to start with to make it more easy. for cars with an immobiliser, i found that if the ECU makes the fuel pump work when the ignition is turned on, the immobiliser is disabled.however if the fuel pump does not turn on when the key it turned then the immobiliser is still on. i had a hard time with the immobiliser. i found that a small green wire from the ecu has to connect to the CODE box that lives under the steering wheel, that the RFID chip reader ring antenna around the ignition barrel plugs into. the CODE box needs 2x lives and a ground. it has a earth switch for the CODE light if you want to wire that in to something. i never had an ECU with the immobiliser removed. so i had to include it, but fool it into working by taping the original punto key to the RFID antenna ring. it never failed to start with it like this. more info may be found on FiatForum... i hope this helps!

you may need to update, or roll back your driver to a later one. if you have it, use the old driver on the CD your motherboard came with. this worked for me!

@@georgejexter Fiat may sell the kit still. They should. The engine however is french made by Citroen. It's not really vital to change the water pump, but it may as well be done at the same time along with the idler and tensioner. I would even be tempted to change the oil seals on the cam and crank. Though I am not sure on the sizes. You could find out on FiatForum's EPER as it has all parts and parts numbers for everything on everything fiat.

I sadly no longer have it.. I donated it to a local computer museum. To get it to power up, trap some speaker wire on the battery contacts and kinda close the battery on it to hold the wires in place. Then give the wire 12v. Make sure you get the polarity correct! It will power up then!

I know right, it took me ages to get access to the bike again. It had a lot of things on top of it from a camper build we are doing. I have since moved many things and have been able to get the bike on the work bench, which I have just installed to the garage replacing the old kitchen cabinets and work top. Now I have nice thick steel benches. They will survive anything I throw at them!

Had the same problem with error 11 on hoovers drying system but didnt see any broken wires so just pushed the buttons u can see at the video 03:43 and now it works perfectly again :D No idea what those buttons even are

Now I know why my 1995 7.3 powerstroke loves hydraulic oil as fuel over new engine oil i get for free from cross grad contaminated by pump flushing. Heres my special fuel mix 80%-70% hydraulic 15%-20% diesel and 5% up to 10% max gasoline preferably old gas, use as thinner/ filler because oil will give you more btu,s which really helps spooling turbo, but best used undergrad on highway low rims. Just some ideas for you guys.

The reason it runs so clean is because of the high water content. Hydraulic oil absorbs water and water is great to de-carbonize hot carbon off of things. Spray water into a hot engine to clean carbon off of valves and stuff.

Though the bottom of the plastic cowling is a hole, inside is a 10 or 8 mm bolt. They are held in place with like a screw hose clamp all you have to do is undo it a bit and it's off

I did but it was taken down :( I used a tow relay which hooks in to the original wiring and boosts the power to work with incandescent style bulbs. If you go direct into the lighting loom without the relay the body control module logs an over current fault and stops power to the bulb
