None of these places exited during my time. I was raised at kalihi-war Homes, before there ever was a kuhio homes or fort kam homes in kalihi valley. It was real paradise back then,40s and 50s. What a great time in Hawaii history.

Glad you got membership at toyoko inn, how did you manage to get it?
@dya7175 Жыл бұрын
I paid membership the first time I used Toyoko Inn back maybe 10 years or more. You get one night free for every 10 nights you stay. So, I've had a ton of freebie nights on them. Before, I used to try cheap hotels found on sites like Travelocity/Expedia but now I try first for Toyoko Inns. Safe travels.

Home Depot (the "developer") = Moanalua 99 (99 Ranch Market) and Henry Loui's Restaurant; there is a gun shop, there used to be a Hopaco (stationary/office supplies store) there, Gibson's Shopping Center (Toyota / Servco Mapunapuna); there was a Sky Slide (in the 1970's) attraction ("Checkers and Pogo (on the Go)" tv show; a Jumbo's restaurant.

Nthe products seem interesting, but couldn't make out what they were. While there did you notice some signs were in Russian? Hope you get to eat crab there, it's a specialty, while on the road try the grilled squid very tasty for beer. And the potatoes roasted along the food stand yum. If you end up near a sea market, try getting kazunoko packed, it's salted, so you can bring it back, desalt it for new-year,s. Mine lasted for a couple of years. More cheaper yeah.
@dya7175 Жыл бұрын
Yep saw the signs the next morning -- put a picture in next video. Nope never had crab. Our tour is moving zip-zip and not staying long at one site to try all those suggestions you're making. Wish I could stay over a coupla days. Mahalo for the suggestions.

We used to go to Ray's for the Prime Rib. It used to be really good but the last time we went the Prime Rib was bland with no seasoning and the rice was too dry. As mentioned it used to be really good but no more!
