You didn't really explain whether you should lead or not. I find this game is not realistic for air shots because of the lack of lead required.

Great video. The problem with a lot of camo patterns is that they look great up close. Move back 50 to 100 yards and it turns into a dark colored blob. I actually watched where a guy took a camera and hung a very popular brand of camo shirt in a tree and then a red and white Hawaiian print shirt. Took a photo in black and white and the camo stood out where the Magnum PI shirt disappeared. Deer can see in the blue spectrum but can't see red so maybe Grandpa's red square print flannel broke him up just fine :)

It would not be my first choice especially for that distance. With the amount of affordable rifles especially by Savage I would look at a rifle for that distance.

I use the federal truball low recoil slugs in my winchester 1897 and it shoots as accurate as a rifle out to 50 yards. Completely off hand i can hit a 4 inch target with federal truball low recoil slugs and my 1897 at 50 yards which is good enough for me.

26″-28″ barrels: These are standard barrel lengths that can be used for all shotgun applications, ranging from wing shooting to slug hunting. While a 26” barrel is lighter and more maneuverable, a 28” barrel is going to be more accurate for long-range shots and should be regarded as perhaps the best all-around barrel length.

Maybe it has something to do with the elk moose and deer having no real predators for the last 150 years. Probably not good for a wildlife species to not to have a natural predator. As a trapper from the Canadian province these wolves came from I’ll say you’ll never see the large herds of elk like before. But eventually the animal genetics will adapt to the environment. A species without predator is doomed It’s the predator that makes it strong.

Well done, talking about just how hard it is to manage wolves. Even with wide open seasons, Idaho trappers and hunters have yet to reduce wolf numbers to something that will keep other animal herds healthy. Now they have reduced trapping season for concerns about grizzlies being trapped. Well, that concern is just a crock of crap. Grizzlies have continue to grow in numbers regardless to the trapping seasons. Thanks a bunch for telling the truth about wolves.

It is just a shame that our legal system continues to trump our Fish and Game biologists. I spend 60 days a year in N. Idaho backcountry at least. I trap for wolves and see their tracks, find their kills and see their impact on our moose, elk and deer. I don't hate wolves for being wolves, just want to see their numbers lower.@@Kodiak-Outdoors

Reduce to zero is only right answer.EVERYTHING was better, wildlife and financially. There was nothing to gain but a select group of people illegally importing a different strain of wolves as this strain has obliterated our native wolf.

All I had to do is clock up my cpu up to 6.0 ghz speed and ramped up my graphic card rog strix 4070ti oc then went to setting maxed out everything in the game solid 170s frames but feel not smooth. Then I put v sync enabled 4k 60 fps and it was crisps smooth as butter. This game was meant to run 60 fps not over.

Why is there a period hunting season then ? The hunt should be open year long , if they want to manage it , don’t give them the time to breed , if we give them the chance to breed an average of 4 pups per year and for one kill per year , it won’t work . Who wants to go freeze their behind for wolf in winter time hunting period .

Idk about out of state hunters but that's a very valid question. I would check their DNR website to get all the details these details I shared were from months ago so I would double check the exact rules now that the 2024 rules book has come out

Great question, I hear Sitka is good especially the subalpine series but Kuiu Verde works well from what I heard from a 5 year old buck last week.

The state of Michigan is now considering introduction of the grey wolf to that state. The wolves on Isle Royale Island have wiped out the moose and deer populations on that remote island in Lake Superior - now thte state wants to introduced additional wolves to the upper peninsula and will find that the results will be the same as that in Idaho - wipe out all other wildlife forms. STUPID CHOICES

Agreed. I have family in Michigan that love to deer hunt and this could destroy the population. Predator hunting is not the same as traditional deer hunting and not everyone wants to do it. States have to be so care. Great take Hal, and thank you for your insight I appreciate it!

Tipp, second party programms like nzxt cam was my problem. Was running in the background and gave me fps drops from 400 to 8 fps. Specs were amd 7800x3d and 7900xtx. After closing it runs smoth.

@@Kodiak-Outdoors we're mandated to wear I think it's 800 square inches of blaze orange or hunter pink, basically a vest and hat of some sort. Camo is virtually forbidden, can't do orange camo either legally. Division of wildlife should be the next 3 letter agency to dissolve.
