As someone that has a decorative skull collection, I now want to make a disco skull. It came out nicely!

I like your videos because you are one of the most diverse makers (embroidery, leatherwork, pattern drafting, occasionally dabbling with electrical) that I follow and you are authentic. You create whimsical and interesting projects that vary from iterations of something I’ve dabbled in myself to something that wouldn’t occur to me, but seem to spark joy for you. I get inspired by your enthusiasm and am engaged by your personality, problem solving skills, and creative process. Basically, don’t worry about catering to the audience. At least some of us are just here to see what you’ve conceived of next and will watch and follow on whatever wild project you’re interested in! Last thought, I think you’re a natural beauty. As someone who also doesn’t wear make-up and has perpetually frizzy wild hair, I relate to the struggle of wanting to look more “professional” or “put together”, but that’s just societal pressure talking. Sure, you’re quirky and don’t fit into a conventional mold, but that’s what makes you you and it’s you’re unique skills, personality and humor that bring me here NOT whatever conventional beauty aesthetic magazines and media likes to push. You’re enough and you’re awesome as you are 💛.

I'm coming back to add, that as creatives, we can be kinda up and down. We tend to really feel our emotions, so highs are really high and the lows...really low. Maybe that's just me?

For starters, you are are beautiful person! Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Second, "failures" are really learning experiences. I, for one, enjoy seeing failures and how artists like you conquer them. I'm thinking right now of the giant pumpkin costume you made and how it collapsed and you repaired it. Now I know what not to do in a similar situation. lol 🙂

I understand you perfectly. Creators create when they have inspiration, passion, mood, we can't turn it on or off. You shouldn't worry about that and some algorithms created by profit-seeking entrepreneurs, such people often have no imagination and misunderstand what people want to see. People like to look at things they don't have or even envy, e.g. when you do what you like and you trust yourself. For example, for the last ten years I have been working with clients' orders, which are often uninteresting, cheap and don't require my creativity. I would rather do what I find interesting, more complicated, crazy, and I definitely have such ideas. However, I was hoping to make photos, videos about my work done for clients, publish it on a blog or KZfaq and get views, but this is also a big job that requires a lot of time. So the most I achieved was publishing tutorials about 3D printed things and I got the most views on how to fix the wing mirror of my car. So don't forget, I've been working on boring projects for ten years so that I could have free time, free space for workshops and free money for tools and materials to do what you've already been doing for the last three years, I envy you!!! Do what you like and take your time, make KZfaq videos when you have created something and you are in a good mood. Because when you come up with something extraordinary that you will like and you will be happy while doing it, you might get 1 million views in the first month. As for self-presentation, nothing new here. It is common for creators to often not want to be the center of their work. For example I like to make stage decorations, stage costumes, but I never wanted to be on stage during the show. You also don't have to worry about never being good enough because you are good just the way you are. I'm also worried about my not good enough English for KZfaq videos and also because maybe my voice sounds like it's coming out of a bucket. I like your English with a French accent, it adds a special charm, and I'm not saying this because I've always liked red-haired girls. 😊

Thank you for being so brave, honest and sharing such important learning with us in making this video. I love watching you create because you are talented, fun and funny while also being honest about your experiences and struggles. Please don’t let the pressure from the algorithm push you too hard and burn you out - when you create you deserve to feel the joy you bring us watching you!
