Level 2 autism is just checking off boxes , u could have ADHD with PDA and level 2 … and my 9 year old can mask so well no one believed me ( neurologist /drs / teachers . until the demands of school and “ friends “and friends pushing back on her demands, put her in burn out ( completely scared me ) and she is definitely high functioning it appears, at home she can’t do anything without me being there , she never can be alone in a room , she needs a safe nervous system to help regulate her , unless it’s to get candy when I say no. The PDA profile is one of the hardest as far as behavioral. And the least known among USA

This is extremely accurate and explained with sensitive and caring words. I'm considered level 1, and people have always judged me very harshly. This video will help others not have to go through the trials my generation had to bear. I wasn't diagnosed until my 50's. Fighting my challenges has literally worn me out physically and emotionally. Severe social anxiety, depression, and chronic fatigue that would not have happened if people had known the things you listed when I was growing up. Thank you so much for posting this! ❤

Why Prisons Should Allow Conjugal Visits. In history context. 34 years ago, Robert Meeropol. Along with his brother Michael. Has founded The Rosenberg Fund for Children (RFC). This was made in honor of their parents, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. Who were believed to be spies for conspiracy. I think this was a hoax. After their deaths, this occurred to the news and media. Then, the children were forced to live in New Jersey. Orphaned at age 6, Robert was adopted by Anne and Abel Meeropol. After my parents’ arrests, my relatives were so frightened of being associated with "communist spies" that they refused to take me into their homes. First I lived in a shelter. Later I lived with friends of my parents in New Jersey, but I was thrown out of school after the Board of Education found out who I was. After my parents' execution, the police even seized me from the home of my future adoptive parents, and I was placed in an orphanage. - Robert Meeropol, Rosenberg Fund Website - "Our Story". That was sad here. Is that the education system decided that the boys weren't allowed on school. And being labeled as "non-residents". That is not okay. It wasn't their own doing at all and it's not their fault either. This is something I won't agree with. My generation should never allow this to happen! Children matter, even if some of them were parents of false conspiring. That is not an excuse to do this. All countries have no right to ignore anyone like this. That feels like selfish and ignorance alike. That might be a reason, Meeropol started the Rosenberg Fund for Children, a public foundation which provides support for children in the U.S. whose parents are targeted, progressive activists. The RFC also supports youth in the U.S. who have been targeted for their own progressive activism. Thank you, Mr. Robert and Michael Meeropol. A quick story here. I have checked in the internet. Many years ago in the real world. I thought the Rosenberg husband and wife. Were believed to be traitors, spies in America. I may find this only as a rumor. A hoax. The media was not going to pretend it existed. The two children of the Rosenberg family, Robert and Michael. Were sad that they lost their own parents by execution. Then, the school system heard the news, and declared to be taken to an orphanage under care and safety. If any schoolmates mock or bully the two kids, for being parents of false conspiring spies. Leave them alone. Like, what is wrong with people saying stuff like this?! Not cool, and not a good thing to say these things. Bullying people, who were family members who were a part of something like this. This shouldn't be made light or be a mockery at all. When Joseph McCarthy passed away, who only has one young daughter. After this, her schoolmates weren't bullying or teasing her. They shouldn't be doing this. Just because her dad's got a bad reputation, put under scrutiny, and just passed away. Not a good thing to mock people or anyone. That is something I won't be doing. I know there are infamous people in history, but mocking or putting other families, children, and relatives into this. I don't find this as okay or excusable. That's just a horrible and awful thing to say. Especially for anyone who are relatives to those people. Leave these folks out of this. I would have pity on these people and felt sorry for them. It wasn't their own doing or fault at all. Let these people, have a moment of silence and peace. To recover from family loss and scars. And get good in life later on.

It wasn't their own doing or fault at all. Let these people, have a moment of silence and peace. To recover from family loss and scars. And get good in life later on. Me: Something like this, about unnecessary criticism has happened to me. When I was a child, me, my mom, and first brother. There was only two of us kids back then. I wanted to pay for the bus ride. Then, a man critique my mom for letting me pay the bus ride. After a few minutes later, the man has called me a selfish or ignorant person. However, my mom objects to this. And she says to the man, that I am not a selfish or ignorant person. I am apathetic, that is why I lack any confidence, or motivation alike. I am compassion and peaceful. I was like about to be turning 6 years old back then. Just because their are people like Donald Trump, the Rosenberg Couple, or Joseph McCarthy who are either famous or infamous. That doesn't mean to use an excuse to mock, bully, critique, or downright ignore their own children, friends, peers, or family relatives alike. I can't agree with that. That is not an okay or acceptable thing to do. Especially if it was generations ago. All people, men, women, and children matter. These people haven't done anything bad, after knowing or witnessing this. That's all I have known about my takes of weird or negative criticism. Enough said.

Of all those characteristics, echolalia is the worst. It sounds hostile and disrespectful when I hear adults repeating my words. I can't comprehend that someone is so unable to control themselves.
@TheDisordersCare
@TheDisordersCare Ай бұрын
I understand how echolalia can be confusing and even unsettling. It's important to remember that echolalia is often a symptom of various neurological conditions, like autism or Tourette syndrome, and it's usually not intentional or meant to be disrespectful. People with echolalia often have difficulty controlling this behavior, and it's a way for them to process and communicate. Understanding and patience can go a long way in creating a supportive environment for everyone.

The music says it all for me. Its in the small hours of darkest nights. The me, I don't let you see. Rocking, back and forth and back in sweat soaked sheets for hours till the timbers of my old bed scream to me, why won't you just die. The endless same words, phrases, splinters of nightmares round and round the echo chamber canyons of my mind. Time has no meaning in my life long sentenced prison. Rough concrete walls so sound and light can't drown me. I am old now I think. I am the rain on your roof while you live warm inside and tune the dial away from things you don't want to be reminded exist. I wake and take the pill to numb and mask my way through one more day. Will I eat today. A shower you say. Why ?. No one comes here. The neighbours just wait for my passing so they can doze my house of ghosts and fight over the scrap of land that reminded them that their perfect God made something deformed and ugly.

I just got diagnosed with ASD 2 and they offered to test my iq as they think i might be gifted 🙂 but now I'm confused,, what really is the difference between level 1 and 2? presuming they can both be "high functioning" or wtv

Congrats on your diagnosis and potential giftedness! 🌟 ASD Level 1 requires some support, while Level 2 needs substantial support. Both can be "high functioning" but differ in the level of assistance needed.

@@TheDisordersCare What throws me off,, is that I'm 16 and have never had any type of support more than anyone else at school, and I've been fine. Albeit I've never really had friends there, though I have friends online. I don't get why I was diagnosed as level 2, as I don't really require extra support in my eyes

I was diagnosed before there were three official levels, but level 1 sounds like me, however I have some aspects that might veer into level 2. My boyfriend also is autistic but he sounds like level 0, he faces some challenges (from what he tells me, mostly I'm just amazed by him) but doesn't need support or assistance with things. My boyfriend and best friend (who also has autism) help me out with areas I have support needs. Since they're also autistic, they understand the struggles I go through and know how to help me, which I appreciate.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like you have a great support system with your boyfriend and best friend. It's wonderful that they understand and can help you with the challenges you face. Everyone's experience with autism is unique, and having people who truly get it can make a big difference

Why would you encourage a relationship with a narcissist? They use and manipulate people, which those with autism are vulnerable to. I'm on the autism spectrum and had children with a narcissist. I eventually wised up to his abuse and disrespect after realizing his actions don't match up with his words. He caused so much harm to our family and traumatized me, he even drove another woman to suicide. Narcissists are traumatized people too, but they've decided to go to the dark side. They may have similarities but narcissists know they are abusing people and don't care. Please don't encourage this relationship. It's sick.

I have used the internet for my needs of childish escapism and imagination. I do not use the internet way too much. There can be too much of a good thing. There are sometimes needed limits. I always have my knowledge of limits too. But I never wasted my life to an extent. Not even at a breaking point. I somehow feel the same after graduating school and studies for good. I am happy to still the same pampered boy since early childhood. I am grateful to be the same today. In my heart and mind. Story Time. What about walking on the outer sides of the feet? My husband goes through shoes quickly, and it’s always the outer sides of shoe soles that are much more worn down.
@TheDisordersCare

Walking on the outer sides of the feet, known as supination, can definitely cause shoes to wear out quickly on the outer soles. It might be helpful for your husband to get a gait analysis or consult with a podiatrist. There are also specialized shoes and insoles designed to provide better support and reduce wear.

Good effort & content, but I have well-intended advice. 🙏🏻First, Thank you for making an informative video that includes seemingly well-adapted adults who are also on the spectrum. I would recommend you continue using adult examples, and try to elaborate on what those challenges ACTUALLY look like in adults. I applaud the great effort, but maybe talk to someone who is AA (Actually Autistic) for a better example to demonstrate a trait. For example, the blind man isn’t a fair representation for sensory difficulties, nor is the angry man sort of clapping his hands to emphasize his point to demonstrate “hand flapping” (which is actually very very rarely seen in L2 adults who are well adapted. I realize these were probably available video clips, and I think you’re on the right path. I share these suggestions in total support and encouragement to keep these up, and help “unmask” (pun intended… also, make a video about that!) Autism - ESPECIALLY in adults, teens and older kids. Far too many people, INCLUDING those in early childhood development, FAIL to understand Autism outside of the antiquated stereotypes of autism. Those stereotypes essentially continue to allow people to exclusively perceive Autism as it presents in children, PARTICULARLY, young BOYS who are generally level 3, who ALSO have INTELLECTUAL & VERBAL impairments. I love what you’re doing, it’s more current and changes the framing of “what autism looks like.” We now know GIRLS & WOMEN who are EMPATHETIC, seemingly socially adept (smiling, engaging, energetic - especially when it’s “masking” and overdone/extreme), and who don’t “flap their hands.” More males than females are currently impacted, but the numbers are getting closer. Keep breaking the stereotypes. Show examples of Au males and females, of ALL ages and with ALL abilities. In fact, I’d argue those who are Level 1 or L2 and who LACK the intellectual and verbal deficits, are those who STRUGGLE THE MOST. Those autists are most likely to experience severe breakdowns and mental health emergencies. Please stay on the path you’re on. This a great start! I also echo the sentiment that a more calming, maybe natural (think nature sounds or even coffeehouse music) would be better suited. Thank you

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such detailed and thoughtful feedback! We truly appreciate your insights and suggestions as they will help us improve our content. We are grateful for your kind words and are thrilled to hear that you find our videos informative. Your advice about using adult examples and elaborating on their actual challenges is valuable, and we will definitely incorporate more accurate representations in future videos. We understand the importance of showing a broad spectrum of autism, including those who are "Actually Autistic" (AA), and we aim to highlight diverse experiences and traits. Your point about breaking stereotypes and showcasing autistic individuals of all ages and abilities, particularly those who are Level 1 or L2, is well taken. We agree that these individuals often face unique struggles that are not widely understood, and we are committed to bringing these stories to light. Additionally, we appreciate your suggestion regarding the video background music. We will consider using more calming and natural sounds to create a better viewing experience. Thank you once again for your encouragement and support. Your feedback motivates us to continue our efforts in raising awareness and understanding of autism in all its forms. Best regards,
