thanks for playing. your whale looks like it died bc of a bug from the "whale energy" system that was part of a day/night cycle that i cut. not sure. but there would have been no way for you to reenergize your whale. you're playing version 0.4.155 and now the private beta is at 0.4.168...so we may never know :( hope you had mostly good experience. i'm working on the final boss and redoing the tutorial, should have an update soon.

Man I'm so happy you commented, I loved this game, I haven't beat it yet or gotten close to the current end but I'm currently trying to wrangle the crew back together to dive back in! I love the art style and over all feel of the game. Thank you for creating it
