Ah, automatic watches. You either love them or hate them. For me, it is just as you say; they were meticulously assembled by human hands and adjusted to be the most accurate they could be without having to be wound daily or powered by an artificial power source. My 26 jewel Swiss movement watch is 16 years old and loses only 5 seconds a day. It gives me great pleasure to know I own a mechanism that was expertly designed, crafted and assembled for years of reliable service.

All my pre owned watches, stop everytime I sleep...what's wrong? Do I need to shake it before sleeping. I never tske them off. All the Best . Thank you very much.

While quartz gives you more benefits, I don't know why people are crazy about buying automatic watch?! Bruh buy quartz, set it and it will go all by itself. Why wasting money and energy on something that doesn't even show you proper time!

If your watch is running fast, have it demagnetized (degaussed). A jeweler that does watch repairs should be able to do so for you or you could buy a watch degausser for about $15. After being demagnetized, it should run about 4 seconds per day slow and you just run it till it picks up enough magnetism that it runs fast enough for you to have to set the time back by a minute whereupon you demagnetize it again. Those old CRT TV's and computer monitors would degauss when powering up and would sometimes have a button or menu selection to degauss so you used to be able to use your tv to demagnetize your watch. Some watches are marked as resistant to magnetization. Some watch manuals say to never set a watch backwards as that may also bend pins and gears but to always set it forwards so it may be more convenient to just demagnetize it and let the 4 seconds per day slow account for the minute it's running fast but I've never had a problem with rolling the time backwards.
