It would be better if you're not using AI upscaling the normal clip would have been better

Nice find, never have seen an Ikegami promo video. In my experience all the Ikegami tube-based cameras that I've owned (formerly owned an HL-95B and currently own a HL-79E, plus a "scrap" HL-79E, and possibly may be a future owner of an HL-83) they all have produce poor images compared to the other 3-tube cameras I own, such as the Sony DXC-M3A and BVP-3A. It seems like when they were new they produced good quality images, but after years they go out of alignment or worse, the tubes get worn out. It also doesn't help that they all look like they've been though a warzone, they looked like they were real workhorses back in the day but after so much abuse and not being powered on 30+ years takes a big toll on it. My HL-79E's black balance is all out of wack and produces a horrible pink hue even when the iris is shut. I'm currently trying to restore it, and when I have a decent result I'll upload some footage from it. I will say though, they do design decent power supplies. I have a Sony BVP-300 with a completely dead power supply, probably capacitors. Seems like Ikegami used decent components in their power supplies and they hold up pretty well. That "scrap" HL-79E that I owned was dead and the fault was a bunch of blown transistors and diodes, which was probably caused by some moron applying way too much voltage to the camera. They can handle up to 17 volts so you can run them off a 14.8V battery, but if you go higher than 17 volts you risk damage, like what was done on my scrap 79E. Also, I used to own a Sony BVP-30 that just decided to blow up under normal usage. One moment it produced a great image, then it just died and the smoke came out. One of the Sony ICs was cooked and finding a replacement was impossible, so it went to scrap. Never seen that happen on Ikegami, but I've heard it happening on older Sony tube cameras often. Just as a side note, I wouldn't use AI upscaling for these old videos, as you can see the text on the controls of the camera just look distorted like the typical "AI generated" images you see. I should make a tutorial on how I upscale analog SD video using VapourSynth. I use StaxRip/VapourSynth and nnedi3_rpow2 using LanczosResize for upscaling to 1080p. It could even do 4K if you wanted it to. It does take a while to process and encode to x264 but it produces good results without the "fake AI" look. Maybe one day we will get AI upscaling that looks perfect, but for now I would just stick with standard upscaling methods.

Why did you bother to upscale this to 1080 but NOT convert it to the proper frame rate, and then STRETCHED the picture???

An old capture using the wrong settings, it's as simple as that.

The music in the sign off announcement is the exact same as what was used at WSM-TV in Nashville. Unless the NFL telecast in question was an Oilers preseason game, This sign off was more likely than not in the overnight hours between Sunday and Monday (Fall 1980). Did the tape come with an exact date or what the matchup of the game in question that night was?
