声援は熱狂しているが、立ち上がる人が一人もいないのは、今見ると不思議。尤も、日本のコンサートで全員立ち上がったのは 1971年のグランドファンク・レイルロード後楽園球場公演。土砂降りの野外だったから、そりゃ坐ってられないわな( ´艸｀)

Is this the actual audio from the concert? Edit: It’s not, it’s from the Nippon Budokan concert, but the setlist is the same as their Manila concert.

Amazing historical document. All lip sync but somehow they still conveyed a big sense of fun. I always liked All My Loving. Even seeing them fake it is educational.

Really nice footage, The Beatles 1... and thank you for *not* "enhancing it, etc. The slightly-shaky video gives it that true "8mm vibe"... likewise, having no audio! I actually watch most [of those] 8mm footage videos *without* the sound -- especially, when they have audio dubbed in from some other performance in some other town (e.g., Houston TX '65 video with Tokyo Japan '66 audio). 🎥

IT took place on Sept 13th. Melody Maker article came out on the 17th referencing it as Tuesday. Sept 13 1966 fell on a Tuesday. There is archive files from the broadcast of the day as well, from the time that specifically state Sept 13th as broadcast and filmed.

In spite of all the proof to the contrary, Klatu* actually was actually Ron Nasty, Stig O'Hara, Barrington Womble and William Shears Campbell. William filled in for regular member Dirk McQuickly because Dirk was in Drug Rehabilitation recovering from a serious addiction to Tea.

The acoustics are cheesy. This is a level that makes me laugh. In Japan, there was only such acoustics. This is a valuable record. But this acoustics is terrible, isn't it? I feel sorry for them.

The Beatles are great group. (Notice no cords for the guitar which are electric.) Back then lip sync on shows was common practice. But they do rock and still do. And were are the mics?
