One of the best 4WD videos I've seen (and I've watched a few). Well done! 😊 Edit later: But I must say that "the star of the show" needs to be more safety-conscious. That roll-over could so easily have resulted in life-changing-injury or death!

100% agree, he got an absolute bollocking from everyone afterwards for his lack of seatbelt

Your style of presenting reminded me of Troy from the "Bad Idea Bros" KZfaq videos who do similar trips but on motorbikes. Years ago as a beginner to off roading I did the Molesworth and got to Hanmer Springs via Jollies Pass Rd. Jollies Pass was the most challenging bit and I did have to put the gears in low ratio. The only thing that freaked me out was passing other vehicles going the other way on the narrow one way road over Jollies Pass. All the best with your future videos.

awesome tracks down there not hard but you get to see a lot of country the st winifreds hut up the rangitata river is a cool spot especially if you like a bit of technical stuff / boulders could have brought a td5 disco with that fuel bill. Enjoyed the new style of video .

NZ consumer diesel prices (per liter) on the 18th July are around $1.98 so that is around 1.10 euro or $1.20 US...... doesnt include Road User Charges which are what $76 per 1000km?
@chriskeach190817 күн бұрын
Petrol on the same day was $2.66 NZ ($1.62 US or 1.48 Euro) and no RUC for petrol powered vehicles...
@mattbru17 күн бұрын
Yeah correct, no road user charges for petrol vehicles in NZ. I didn’t keep a record of exactly how much I spent because it would probably upset me, but I was keeping track of my fuel economy and I was using about an average of 30L/100ks, bit better on the road, bit worse offroad

Loved this. You’re making me properly homesick! The different content and style was refreshing. The only suggestion I have is to do a full split screen when showing the map rather than having it see-through.

Very lucky indeed! The truck is a combination of many different vehicles, there's a quick rundown during the intro of the video that covers the major points though
