I have a trouble, what should i do, if i get non linear for 1st and 2nd orde? In firts trial i get 26% eror at first orde and get more than 26% eror at 2nd orde. Could i define that the orde is 1st orde ? Hopefully you see and help me to find a way 😢

Thank you, Mike! The Aleks platform and other KZfaq videos were far from helpful. It makes more sense to find the k values for two points with each integrated equation since these are constants. As well as list the y values for each order equation and look at the difference between two points to observe a constant change! My program had me calculating all of the integrated y-values and then trying to plot those by hand, and only afterward finding the k values by taking delta concentration change over delta time. I really thought this was the topic my mind was going to break and I would finally declare insanity! :)

My calculator did not even have an answer button in it. So everytime I had an intermediate step answer in weak acid buffer calculations, I had to write them down on a paper. Ended up skipping more than half of pH, buffer calculations in the fear of running out of time. Guessed those answers. Got a 45/70. I’m pissed at the choice of my calculator

Thank you for your videos! Im about to take Gen Chem 2 and it has been 5 years since I took Gen Chem 1 so you’ve been a great help! I’m a little confused by what you said with the definition of an isotope. You said “that it couldn’t have a different number of electrons or it wouldn’t be an atom.” How do we know that?

Glad I stumbled across this, it’s been maybe 2-3 years since I’ve taken (and didn’t pass) gen chem 2 in community college , and now I am in University caught up with my math pre reqs and I’m curious whether I should back track and take gen chem 1 to refresh at the University level? Or just try and relearn the concepts for gen chem 2 and take it again at the university level? (I’m afraid that the material might be more detailed or they will have stuff I’ve never seen before) what would you suggest? Thank you !!

I just wanted to thank you again for your posts. I watched you Gen Chem II videos in preparation for Organic, which because of a weird scheduling conflict, I choose to take before my Gen Chem II class. I got an A! Thank you--you have a great way of delivering the material, and I am recommending your videos to my colleagues!
