10. Clock tower: Great value, Chain to Historian, Great to destroy (ruins/university) in autumn. 9. Palace: Arguably the best "high cost" purple out there, counting itself 8. Courthouse: Insane if you succeed to build it up early on (super strong synergy with ruins, cranes, university or dungeon) 7. Theatre: Best 3 base points card in the game (therefore playable with postal pigeon or queen), does not cost that much and brings a lot of points, only drawback is the bard not being a top tier card. 6. University: Strong effect, super strong synergies with many cards, high base value, free doctor (4 base points) is the cherry on the top. 5. School: Way too cheap for the potential of this card, all critters sharing space or not taking spaces are commons, making the school super strong with couples or wanderers. 4. Innkeeper: Basically 1 or 2 completly free berries! Good synergy with shopkeeper (or historian). 3. Crane: Basically transform 1 pebble into 3 any! Potentially 2 completly free pebbles for no space taken. Chain to the high cost architect. 2. Historian: Infinite cards in a game relying so much on draws is just insanely strong. 1. Shopkeeper: So many berries open the door to the highest score possible, combined with monk and a bunch of chip-sweep or miner moles and you'll stockpile points like never before.

I love Sagrada and this is my favorite expansion! Just one correction: the orange die CAN be placed in a space with a value restriction not just white spaces. They can't be placed only in a space with a color restriction (or adjacent to another orange die). About the window pattern cards: all cards from this expansion are the same from the base game just with the apprentice symbol printed and one less favor token. This is because the new apprentice cards give you more flexibility so to keep balanced they reduced the favor tokens taken.

Great video. Just a little note: rare glass die technically isn't a wild color. It is considered to has "no color" at all, hence it can ignore color restrictions in your player board (as it has no color, it can be anywhere as long as all value restrictions are met).

I like that idea of playing "teams" for a larger group. Not sure how you present that well to everyone so all can see, but that's a great idea. I have the game and like trivia games, but they're not a favorite for our friends. :( I would have loved this when I was growing up, though - we played a lot of Trivial Pursuit and it was usually fun.

Okay, so I'm a little behind on the Evertree bandwagon but I made it! It’s… my… favorite!! Love the base game and tried Newleaf as the first expansion and whoa! It was fun but man was I all over the place. I didn’t have a strategy, I was doing only what I was able to do without any real plan aaaand I lost big time! haha. This video totally helped and I can’t wait to play it again. It did make me feel better hearing Nicole say she felt a little lost at first too but just needed to focus on a particular goal. Good advice for me! You two are great! Thanks for the breakdowns of my new favorite game! P.S. I also wish there was a way to gain extra golden leaf tokens!

I'm really excited for the Baseball Highlights 2045 Bases Loaded campaign, which will launch March 14th, There will be a new expansion of 15 Cards-All Stars-as well as 12 new promos, including the 3 for Dan, Phillip, and Burky. Also, Bill Bricker, the original artist, has done all the new art for these cards. I've really enjoyed all the years I've been working with Mike on all sorts of games, but this was the best of all, in my opinion. Mike has a music background and I have a theater background, so I call this our Baseball Opera! Since you love to know more about how games come about, here is my take from the development side. When I started development on the game, my original idea was to call it Highlights Baseball, as this was the best explanation for how this game worked. Each card represented the potential for what each player might do in the game. So the game itself can be understood as a highlights reel at the end of the week describing all the great plays that happened or didn't! I later decided that Baseball Highlights was a better fit. The other change came from my baseball research. Mike had come up with the idea for the cyborgs and naturals to have mashup names of famous baseball players from the past, a practice we have kept up with as we've created new expansions. This led me to using a nostalgic look and feel to the game. Mike also introduced the concept of robots, which inspired me to add a steampunk flavor to the game as well. Then we set it in the future in a world where baseball has changed to 6 innings, with cyborgs and robots as well as a strong nostalgia for the past history of the game. I researched photos for every single card and worked with Bill Bricker and all the subsequent artists on getting the dramatic feel of each card right. They all needed to evoke a true and relatable baseball moment. Kind regards, Ralph

So fun to watch you talk about my favourite game, you are amazing together! I also dislike most destination cards because they are weak and need a valuable worker to activate. However, I think that this is because they were designed for the base game. With the extra workers that player powers take away and with the less powerful cards of the base game a Cemetery, a Chapel or a Monastery could be a great choice if played well.

will farshore be getting expansions? I really want to try every day but I don't know which version to get my little everdell, farshore, or regular everdell I mostly play with families in kids that don't have a lot of gaming experience

Best Card is by far the construction crane. It costs 1 pebble, gives you -3 cost on anything and does not cost a spot. Free value.

I've just played the second calendar: "The Hunt for the Golden Book" and I liked the first one "Ice Cave" much better, more creative, intelligent, less repetitive and the scheduling of the puzzles almost perfect. The "Golden Book" had several repetitions over the days, more or less revisited but nonetheless. (particularly 3-7-11-21). What's more, it repeats certain ideas already developed in other EXITs, including the first calendar featured here. Admittedly, these are not perfect copies, but let's just say they've been revisited. The last day didn't entirely meet my expectations, but it was still a good experience. many of the puzzles were able to satisfy me, but I surely become more demanding over time. Happy Holidays 🎉
