I've been driving semis in 1960s I'm retired now and I can say once upon a time that semi drivers were the best drivers over the road, or I should say on the road for that matter....... it's so sad for me to see what this trade has become its full of degenerates and people who do not care about anybody but themselves then on top of the wall they can't even drive let alone back up a trailer then you got individuals who only have automatic license.... I remember back in my day if a truck or seen another trucker in need of help the other trucker would get out and help with the other guy now they just take off their stupid cell phones and want to record damn shame but I guess that's just a sign of the times

I tested the theory of straight lines at truckstops. I measured the distance between 7100 parking spots over a 12 month period. Conclusion... the majority of lines, 5462 lines were not equal distance.

This makes quality sense of what a student should know to do good backing....you are a great instructor...love this tip....the only question I often come across is how would this technique for backing change in terms of steering the steering wheel, if we were backing at a tilted and curved surface in order to not touch those cones when backing??....If you could please provide any insight to this, I would very much appreciate it...Thanks and have a wonferful day
