Thank you very much for such a great explaination. Loved the video. It seems like you are also in the low context culture because you're too direct which made me understand this topic very thoroughly.

Transcript: Hello, I'm Ro Krosby from Tarot, back with another message for leaders attempting to reinvent their businesses in the face of challenges over which they have little control. As we contemplate the situation, there are a few options for most businesses, but to comply with government mandates, be attentive to safety and health of employees and customers, and to operate in a fiscally responsible manner. However, compliance as a long-term business strategy is rarely an acceptable mode of operation for leaders in any industry. More is needed. To meet the challenges of a changing world, leaders must proactively address opportunities over which they do have control. What can leaders control? The overarching theme of research across all industries in the throes of change is the imperative for frequent and two-way communication. Customers expect an experience that is safe, meets their needs, and is delivered in a manner that respects their personhood. Communication is a key driver of customer satisfaction. Good communication extends beyond the customer relationship and has huge implications when it is also improved internally among staff. None of this is surprising given that we all know communication is central to all good relationships. Harvard University, the Carnegie Foundation, and Stanford Research Institute all showed in their studies that 85% of professional success is related to people skills. The remaining 15% is due to technical ability. As we all move into a different business model, it is reasonable to assume that most businesses will put a priority on customer and employee safety. So what's the differentiator? It's a question of perception versus reality. If communication is not present or if it is lacking, the perception of the level of safety is compromised, even for businesses that have engaged in massive changes to protect safety and health. Businesses can improve safety perceptions by doing a better job of communicating their new practices clearly and frequently to both employees and customers.

It is the basic of communications. Eye contact speaks the Truth. He was soooo confident. But not with everyone that we see eye to eye we can make a connection. Not all.

People adapt to the strangest things, until they see a guy talking to himself in public. If that guy has an AI mirror in his home, it could read lips, detect deception, and vocally lie with a narrative in response to the patterns it collects. If someone comes in crazed, it would give that narrative, heck, even produce a visual hallucination. If it picks up that one is happy, it will simply mirror it with sound. 🥸 This brings surveillance and any new cold war operation to a new place. You can't deceive a mirror without being an unsuspecting or uncertain person. "Who Am I" games, even after someone gets used to even that. You could falsify diagnoses, amongst other things if it's hidden in plain site like that. I'm wondering if Russia has worked with that technology bc it is so* annoying. Nit-picky. It's also amazing how being told you're being watched makes people gaslight others if they aren't the scapegoat. Domestically, I mean. Ironic, because a scapegoated person could call them a cop. That's a kick me sign on their own back. Criminality goes hand in hand with how someone gaslights and preys on another. So, say a mirror produces an image of said gaslighter, it would "make sense" to scapegoated person lol and if you lightly played that white noise sounding narrative everywhere, people would normalize it. Similar to invisibility, troublesome for a domestic scapegoat.

This video is so cool. Low-context speeches often times sound rude to high-context listeners. Because in high-context cultures people outweigh directions or instructions. It's imature to boil down a business relatiobship to rules and contracts because there are people behind them.

Never heard "look into my eyes" as a "demand". Now 49 years old, living all my life in a Nordic country. Never understood the obsession of eye contact in the anglosaxian world. Here you can be as your mind has been given to you. Nobody looks weird at you if you are not keeping eye contact. What a releif living here!

I love videos like this because they a biased? (Question) *What about Africa?* It's difficult to generalize Africa as a single cultural entity because it is a continent with vast diversity and variation within its cultures. However, many African cultures tend to be considered *high-context,* meaning that they rely heavily on implicit communication and nonverbal cues. This is due to the fact that many African cultures are collectivist and place a high value on community and relationships. For example, in some African cultures, it is important to build trust and rapport before discussing business or other important matters. That being said, it's important to remember that there is a great deal of diversity within Africa and each culture has its own unique communication style and norms. It's essential to approach each culture on an individual basis and to take the time to understand the cultural context and communication style. - #ScreenOfSpace
