Bruce Lee's genius is exemplified in this clip. Lee was only 26 years old when he created this fascinating mix of Wing Chun, Boxing, and Fencing. To my knowledge, JKD is the ONLY fighting method that employs Fencing as one of its core arts.

Gentleman I just want to add to the discussion please no disrespect my on my part but and I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this but remember Bruce was about partiality without totality yet he was about totality without partiality if this makes any sense it was a you know you got it right to with the natural flow of fighting human beings are different yet the same if that makes sense because of the way one person hits will not be the same as another person yet they are hitting if this makes sense

Bob was my friend and neighbor for over twenty years! I cherish and feel incredibly honored for the time I got to spend Bob! I never once in all that time was able to catch that old man off guard! He could be half way across the Garage and suddenly get that grin. Everytime I would know what was coming and not even once stop what was about to happen. Once his grin starting to rise into a smile all I would here is BAMM. next ting I knew I was getting back up off the ground shaking off stars! this is when i was young and healthy and he was well past 70! LOL I miss Bob very much! Rest In Peace "asskicker of chinatown"

this isn't really that beneficial for south paws because you guys are both doing it out of a south paw stance, making it effectively the same as orthodox v. orthodox

For those saying they are in southpaw...we don't know that for certain. We don't know if they are both right handed, or if they are using Jeet Kune Do's basic principle of placing your strong hand forward, therefore decreasing the distance your most powerful strikes must travel for contact.

I don't understand why you show this stuff like amazing when it's pretty simple. I do this all the time, itś just a trick, you should raise you lead hand like if you were in a boxing stance but keeping your elbow a fist and a half from your body (like in traditional wing chun stance but with the hand more elevated) and close to the centerline. Then you (before you throw a biu gee) should put your lead hand in a wing chun manner pointing the oponent nose. The trick consist in that the other guy don't see that when you drop your hand, your hand it more close to him that in the beginning. Every good wing chun guy can do this pretty easy. Only people with no wing chun background can ingnore this trick. This was a Bruce Lee trick for demostrantions against karate people who don't know wing chun basics.

I think it depends what you're looking for in a system. Im not an authority in either system but it seems to me like JKD is more about street fighting, and Krav seems to specialize more in weapons defenses. The flashy jkd isn't a good representation of jkd in my opinion. Most jkd videos look more like Bruce Lee impersonators than jkd.
