You see, these drills where instructors have a golfer put their arms across their chest without a club and learn to pivot using the ground and lower body and upper body to rotate aggressively in balance. Its the entire secret to golf. The engine. But i never really hear instructors explain the importance and how that fundamental leads to the correct large muscle swing. They kind of gloss over it then get into wrist position and swing plane and head movement etc etc.....but its really about being able to pivot and rotate the torso aggressivelyin balance. I know its not sexy but better learn that and why its important or its a long way to success. That and a good grip.

I learned to become a champion golfer by reading and following Ben Hogan's teachings of Power Golf !!!!!!!! Illustrations of Ben Hogan's swing and even putting stroke in Power Golf was the absolute best teaching method in the world of golf. Every beginning golfer should follow Ben Hogan's style of playing golf.

You never learned to become a great golfer reading Hogans Power Golf as the teachings in Power Golf are completely different from The Modern Fundamentals which are based on Hogans swing after the accident when he played his best golf : eg. Shorter swing , narrower stance and probably most importantly the supinated left wrist at impact . ( Mr Taylormade)

I appreciate what you are trying to do but in teaching (of any topic) you need to provide more context and explanation/reference for anyone to understand what you mean. Without any reference for how to accomplish and what you want someone to do as they are swinging a golf club, you basically have good intent but here is zero chance this information is useful nor makes sense to anyone but you. Keep trying though I can hear the passion in your own discovery of compression, and you are merely articulating what you feel without context. Perhaps try describing the motions you make rather than the things you feel to put it all together. Happy Holidays from Argentina.

Thank you for a very clear comment. You are definitely right for 90% of it. However the main discovery that will always be for any golfers is all has to do with FEEL. 80% of my swing is strictly FEEL VISUALIZATION & IMAGINATION in the swing process. It is hard for me to express that part. I want anyone who watching my video will have to learn how to FEEL the swing process. Happy Holidays to everyone Smile

This is opposite, you shouldn’t focus on hitting 1” above the ball/clubhead. If anything you want to hit/visualize about an 1” below & in front of the ball. Actually that exact visual of focusing about 1/2 inch or so in front of the ball (where the divot starts) has won me numerous tournaments over the years, 2 course records, back to back state championships, etc. like recently the club championship at a top 35 toughest public course in country which I won by 4 playing for bogey on the last with a 6 shot lead. Like the great Manuel de la Torre says, most armatures are aiming/focusing on the top of the ball instead of below & in front of it and that’s why they have thin/topped contact. I think that may be what you’re trying to say but the word “above” is not correct. Players swinging “above” the ideal low point is the entire problem of why they’re topping it in the first place. In front & below is correct, not above.

This is great advice. As soon as you mentioned Manuel de la Torre I knew you had a legitimate comment. I've been working on not even concentrating on the ball but swinging the club head towards the target longer. It keeps my right shoulder down And I can get full extension and maximize my speed. I've had a couple of 67's and my handicap is scratch. The ball just gets in the way as i swing. I've been popping my driver 310, up from 290.

@@DaveStarks-ku2jd nice man, A great drill for that is sticking a tee in front of the ball an inch or so at an angle towards the target and focusing on driving the tee down into the ground rather than focusing on the ball.

hello, I have watched hundreds of fruit pickers but yours is the most simple, light weight and economical picker. one can make for any height either with rigid pvc pipe or light weight aluminium pipe but your idea is really amazing. injury to fruit is unavoidable for no collection bag attached at the top bottom of the nylon wire. thank you.
