Tipp deserved this win so much. Ref was the most unfair I’ve seen in a long time. Normally after one mistake from the ref he will get his act together but this ref no. Just goes to show Tipp were much better hurlers than Wexford in that gae

I was at that Match and as a Wexford kid I was like Wexford would have been ALL IRELAND champions because Wexford beat Kilkenny in the Leinster final so then Kilkenny played another Match and they won so if Wexford beat Tipperary Wexford would have been ALL IRELAND champions

She was dead right. Ref was very bias towards Wexford. Sean Murphy got away without a card for a worse high tackle than the one Noel McGrath was carded for and when I was watching the game I thought the ref was giving every decision Wexford’s way it was only after I found out he was from Kilkenny and it made sense then.

Yeah, in fairness if Colin Fennelly kept getting away with taking 9 steps with the ball in hand like he did for his goal in the first half he could have had a hattrick.
