Hi! Nice review, Just asking if the 4 footswitches assignable for different effects?

best video on this pedal, comfortably. had it a week and i love it! perfect for me who only has one spot for modulation. the tap tempo is spot on for me (some pedal's tap tempo i've found a bit hard to get right). I've tried to dial in that static lowpass filter tone you made (mixed with my distortion) and can't get it!! What did you have the 'tone' and 'x' set to, do you remember?

Just taken delivery of an NGS6. Manual implies it is just plugged in and links to PC, DAW and Editor app. It doesn't ! None of those recognised the unit. Tried updating drivers but that didn't help. Took me half a day any several emails to the supplier and NUX before finding out that I had to ignore the message on the software updater that says the NGS6 could not be detected before updating the firmware. Why do I have to do that anyway? Surely the supplier - Artist -and/or NUX should ship a turnkey product. It's not for Customers to make things work! After updating and trying many combinations within the editor found that NO combination was to my liking. The only good thing about the NGS6 is that it is a nice clear i/f into my Reaper DAW. Otherwise I don't like it at all!
@SeanPierceJohnson20 сағат бұрын
man, i'm sorry you had so much trouble with it. that was not my experience with it at all...it was plug and play. i do want to make one point though: you brought up the "Artist" and imply they should ship a "turnkey product". As the Artist in this scenario, my responsibility is to represent the gear as I experienced it, which I did. But no artist is responsible for a companies product not performing in the fashion the company is claiming it to perform. the responsibility is solely on the manufacturer.

I wonder how it copes with slide guitar in standard tunings? And say, if you finger two notes a third apart, what the harmoniser makes of it?

What pickups do you have in that black Les Paul? Especially want to know what is in the bridge position.
@SeanPierceJohnson2 күн бұрын
Pickups are Seymour Duncan. Bridge pickup is a JB, Neck pickup is a Jazz model. Classic combo and a great set!
@scotthutchens15562 күн бұрын
@@SeanPierceJohnson You bet! Fantastic sound and playability without being muddy, thought yours were Duncan’s because of the printing on the JB. I always liked the JB, but with a ‘59 neck in my Les Paul, used that set-up in a Christian rock band in the early 80’s. Nowadays I like JB’s only in a HSH Strat. I like the Physician!

Yea I saw they released this, but honestly I don't why, it's years too late. I'm struggling to find anything it does better than the Boss RC-5. I feel like they could have innovated more with this pedal, but since this was already in the pipeline when they briefly closed shop, I guess they decided just to release it since the work was already done.

That jam around the 21:00 min mark was sick. Great demo dude. I would love to see some more looping doing an ambient metal or something similar to modern P&W. I know that’s a weird combo, but I am who I was made to be. 😊

Had a fender amp for a little over a month and didn’t realize they put the foot switch inside the back of it….. Along with the casters for the cabinet. Shows how much I was paying attention with all the hockey practice during the day. Only took mom several calls to Sam Ash Music to complain to get four more casters and the original foot switch. #SpoiledBrat

Speaking at the end there of running another amp with this, the 5150 stealth blue channel when paired with the lead channel of the mt-100 = holy shit balls of fire.. at least that's what I'm currently running and it's about the gnarliest rhythm tone I've ever heard. The two clean channels pair quite nicely together as well, although I don't run it 50/50 split volume wise like I do with the rhythm channels, more of like a 15/70/15 (I run 3 cabs with mt-100 in the middle). Crank the low end on the 5150 and it sort of rounds things out. Great vid btw, you did all three channels justice!
@SeanPierceJohnson6 күн бұрын
dude! i wish I had the 5150 stealth to try that cuz in my mind I can see my face...maybe i'll have to ask Zzounds for a 5150 stealth... and thank you man friend for the kind words! I worked hard AF to do the amp justice. please share the video if you would so more folks can hear how awesome this amp is.

Sounds great! Thanks for sharing - what cab, speaker, mic were you using?
@SeanPierceJohnson8 күн бұрын
Thanks man! Cab is my Orange PPC212 w/ Vintage 30s. Closest to a Recto cab I have. Mics are an SM57 right on the cone, a Sennheiser MD421 on the dust cap and a Hilbe BOHO ribbon. Everything is mixed to just get as close as I can to the sound of the amp as I hear it with the 57 pulling the bulk of the weight.

The amp sounds very dark, especially on the crunch channel. Does it sound like that in real life?
@SeanPierceJohnson9 күн бұрын
I don’t think it sounds dark at all. But the overdrive channel is a tad darker than the rest of the amp. Since it’s voiced around a Dumble overdrive special, which has a much fuller overdrive sound than most, it can be perceived as darkness.
