Have one of these.. they do come in handy for some peculiar jobs. And yes, lots of parts, levers and thought required for operation. All in all, a neat machine.

I imagine that above a certain size, it becomes extremely uneconomical to forge a wrench that might be used a few hours a year. I used to be on an armored vehicle crew and we had an adjustable even though we only had one size track tensioner on the vehicle.

Both in the Navy and offshore industry large spanners were very common that nut they are removing only looks about 100mm AF. Spanners were not always forged but always better than adjustables which were frowned upon especially Stilson type. Ships carry a huge spanner for the prop nut very rarely used.@@stickyfox

@@grenvillebamford1205 A common nickname for the adjustable was the "spec-5 wrench." Specialist 5 in combat arms used to be what you got if you had time in grade as a SGT but your leadership skills sucked or you couldn't pass PLDC. :D I think the real reason we carried a giant adjustable was, we might need to use it on something else beside the track adjuster, and you don't ever get out and mess with track tension under fire. If you lose mobility you turn your armor toward the threat and try not to miss.

Be careful if you purchase though this company. You will pay, but then you will stop hearing back from them when you try to coordinate pickup. Edit - They're probably too busy making youtube videos to respond?
