So far, and I've used everything, except helix/brax, one of the best. It gives you the ability to control so many different factors. Which is why I believe it should be considered 'flag ship'. I was fortunate enough to try the new audison SW and I really liked that one too. In the future I will demo arc, and helix. The key to dsp, in my opinion, is spending time using it to learn it. Save your settings that you like, then try different settings/features so you understand/hear the difference(s). And, if you don't like it, reload previous saved settings, or start over. Changing speakers, amps, etc., can cause your tune to change, need adjustment too.

@@tretruelove1287 There is absolutely nothing wrong with d'amore amps. They are at half their rate because Tony needs to get his current limiting amps to the market. ( They'll be going in my Daughter's car.) If anybody is going to make an investment in Mosconi amps, I would suggest save the $$ & buy the pro830 with the dsp built in. That takes up less room, gives most people the needed channels, and YES!, there is a difference in output, thus their rate. Both 5Star, and TechnoExpress, sale A Lot of ALL Mosconi series amps.( Probably the pro series the most.) For reference, I'm in my early 50s, yes I'm older than Dean! " Back in the day", I had to work OT, long nights, & STILL it typically took me 3 months to buy a single phoenix gold amp. ( Would I ever spend $80k on an entire brax system, nope. That is well out of my budget/league.) SPL guys spend more $$$$$$$$$ than I ever have performing massive electrical upgrades to get the current they need for their 10-30k watts bass builds. Look up the cost on high output alternators, and some of those guys are running 2,3,4+ alternators!

@@daveroski it's a difficult question to answer to be fair bc I've only heard the audiofrogs in jacobs(?) , Andy's son's volvo over a year ago. My K2s measure between 2.8- 3.1ohms, even though they are rated 2. I typically run morel, preferably hybrids, and I've used the elate carbons before too. As I'm getting older, and experiencing 'hearing loss', I purchased the K2s for a few reasons. #1, I want a bright tweeter, as they've been described by many. To my ears they do not seem 'bright', rather more detailed, and present. Secondly, I was able to get this set with about $500 off the normal msrp. So, I figured why not give them a try as the are a reputable brand. I have been running these since January, and haven't switched them out. I run them active from a mosconi aero 8/12 dsp, to a mosconi pro430 amp. ( I may be trying the morel 8" integration comps. in the near future.) There just never seems to be enough output, imo. Hence the possible hearing loss, and the inability to replace my factory head unit. If you try the K2s, let me know what you think, and thanks for watching/commenting👍🏼

(Previously, I had the center 3" at a minus 6db, & I was running the audison apf8. 9bit amp, which helped to make the front stage fuller. There are so many factors that effect this.) Thanks Christian, I've always had this question about external streamers like this Amas Mosconi, I'm thinking on adding one (the same way you did via Toslink) to my Helix dsp mini mk2..however I'm not sure if the equalization I already did on the dsp to accomodate the factory HU will prevail, or do I have to make a new EQ on the dsp to match the new source (Toslink)? The streamer I intend to try is the Fiio br13, which by the way has presets of EQ like most aftermarket radios have (rock, rap, classical, etc.)

If your helix dsp has a seperate preset, which I believe it does, I would use/start that as a seperate source input& dsp tune that input separately ,to what you are already using ( I would assume Helix has a specific input for the toslink- that is where I would try that from. I would then run the source directly to the toslink input flat , and then start tuning from the DSP itself, for that specific output.) Toslink input, for me, has always been a higher s/n ratio, so Ive had to turn gains down to accomodate for the stronger signal. Thanks for watching :-)

@jovenlara5868 If you have an Android Smartphone or Tablet you'll want to connect to the FiiO BR13 using the LDAC codec which is far superior to any other Bluetooth codec at the moment IF LDAC is set to "Highest Quality" and "900/990kbps". However, there are multiple settings for the Quality of LDAC Bluetooth streaming. kbps = kilobits per second. For reference, a standard CD is 16-bit/44.1kHz Sample Rate which results in a bitrate of 1,411kbps. LDAC has the following options: LDAC 300/330kbps (Lowest Quality/Best Connection) LDAC 600/660kbps (Medium Quality/Good Connection, but potentially less range) LDAC 900/990kbps (Highest Quality/Good Connection IF you are nearby & and have a strong signal with no RF interference. This is usually not a problem inside a car). By default, your Android Smartphone or Tablet will connect in the "Adaptive" LDAC mode, which automatically selects between the 3 different Quality settings above, but usually sets the connection to the Lowest Quality and Bitrate in order to maintain a good connection with less chances of audio dropouts rather than the highest quality. To force the connection to LDAC and to the Highest Quality, you need to go into the smartphone's or tablet's Settings and Enable "Developer Options". Then go into the Developer Options settings and scroll down to the Bluetooth Settings and Select "LDAC" as the Bluetooth Audio Codec, then select "HD Audio" or "Highest Quality" + "900/990kbps". There are also options for 16-bit, 24-bit, and 32-bit. 16-bit is fine because LDAC's Highest Quality is still only 990kbps, which is less than the CD's 1,411. You can select "Use System Selection (Default)" under the "Bluetooth Audio Bits Per Sample". For the "Bluetooth Audio Sample Rate", Select "Use System Selection (Default)" which for Android is 48kHz. Note that if your digital music file is a different native bitrate (such as 44.1kHz, 88.2kHz, or 96kHz), this setting will cause the Android Audio Kernel to "Resample" any of those to 48kHz. If you want to force the Bluetooth Codec's Sample Rate to that of the native music file, select the appropriate Sample Rate of the file here. Bluetooth Audio Codec Selection Channel Mode: You'll obviously want this set to STEREO and not Mono unless you are doing some specific tuning and want a Mono signal. Needless to say, simply selecting "LDAC" does NOT mean that you are streaming at the Highest possible Quality. You MUST adjust these settings to do so. NOTE that there are similar settings when your music playback source device does not have LDAC, Apt-X, or Apt-X HD. In that case and for iPhones/iPads you can either select "AAC" (Apple Audio Codec) or "SBC", which is the original audio codec for Bluetooth when it was first developed. It is backwards-compatible with nearly all Bluetooth devices. In Bluetooth signal measurement tests on the Audio Science Review Forums, "SBC" had less artifacts and had the best audio quality compared to AAC, Apt-X, or Apt-X HD. Only LDAC set to "HD Audio" & "900/990kbps" was superior and the best overall. HELIX DSP PRESETS: Regarding using the FiiO or another Bluetooth Receiver that's connected directly to your DSP (HELIX or others), you'll want to create a new, separate Tuning Preset with everything the same except to start with a completely FLAT EQ settings. This is because the BT Source and FiiO BT Receiver should have perfectly FLAT Frequency Response and a different LEVEL when they are connected using the Digital Toslink Optical connection, and all of the EQ corrections that you had to make to the OEM Stereo to "fix" the signal coming from it will most likely NOT sound good when using that Flat, Full-Range signal coming from the Bluetooth connection. HTH!

And, if he has an android smartphone, he will need to go to settings, scroll to the build number & then tap it 7 times to open developer options in order to turn the LDAC codec on there.👍🏼( Oh, Never mind, I see you did cover that. I couldn't at first😆)

@jovenlara5868 Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'm using the Audison B-con Bluetooth receiver in two of my cars with excellent results when connected via HD Audio 900/990kbps LDAC. :) It also has a Toslink digital output as well as a Toslink "pass-through" and the analog RCA preamp outputs. Cheers!

Really nice equipment wish I could afford it I'm doing a build on my car ( 19 Camry) I'm using equipment from numerous dealers but mainly just trying to learn from more experienced people so I am starting to post videos of the build in hopes that people will comment and help but it seems like you already know what you are doing I like it good SQ setup

Thanks man! I've been into car audio for 30+ years! However, I've learned a lot more from Dean &Fernando, 5star, Eduardo, technoexpress, Chris, the garage, and so many other's willing to share their knowledge that value the 12Vomt industry! ( Also, I enjoy trying new/different set ups, as the car environment is harsh/challenging.)

I have those in my van doors. But I bought the es 100k set also. So my 3 way is the kx2 2 ohm 6.5s in the doors. Then I put the es100s as a midrange along with the tkmx tweets in custom a pillar trims. As on axis as I could get them. 8w7 in a center console. 3 amps and a Zapco 8 channel dsp. They sound great. Nice work.

Awe man, Don't feel stupid, PLEASE! Those are two excellent devices to tune your system, espicially the CC1!!!!! The irta2 is useable for any system, but really helps people like me, who can't change their factory head unit to see what the factory has done before the signal. If your using a aftermarket head unit, the two devices you purchased are going to get you tuned. Maybe in the future you can get an irta2 to then SEE your tune. Pretty sure they're on d&f tooldrawer.com for $250.( An irta is an excellent investment, imo👍🏻)& Thanks for watching, and asking questions:)

@christiandshatto7765
@christiandshatto7765 3 ай бұрын
No, a dd1 only helps with setting gains, you can't see the signal/sound wave with that device. This is a 2 channel electrical real time analyzer so you can SEE the signal. Dean, at 5Star Car Stereo here on youtube, has more examples of showing the signal, checking for factory all pass filters etc.
