May I ask why you didn't just start with a green painted tumbler? I'm new at this and I really want to know before I make a mistake. Thank you! Great tutorial btw.

How many coats of epoxy should be put on a tumbler with vinyl on it? Is two enough or should I do 3 to be sure? Thanks so much. Awesome tumbler! Thank you for sharing.

This video is so under-rated. This is perfect. Exactly what I needed to know. It's crazy some of the vinyls are $4. And up.. most of the time it's not even what I want. May get into designing my own. Do you know if this program works with iPad? If not I may have to get back my Mac mini I gave to my hubby. He hasn't even plugged it in. My 2018 just has more storage. Great products.

I did a tumbler and there is a little tiny place on it that didn't get any epoxy and you can see down to the spray paint. Do I have to strip it or can I just put another coat on to cover that spot up? The spot where there is no epoxy is tiny, no where as large as the broken area on yours. I sure hope it's possible because I hate the thought of stripping it. I'm a newbie to all this and want to make sure I do things right.

Yes as long as the cup doesn’t have too many coats of epoxy already. And make sure to do the whole cup not just the area good luck!

If I needed to sand, I waited until I had at least 2 coats of epoxy so that I didn't accidentally scratch off or damage the flowers in any way.

@denwooddesigns6631
@denwooddesigns6631 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much and I'm glad it helps you out. The thing you are talking about is a T-square. I got it from Canadian Tire I think. It's a triangle that has a base and can stand up on its own. I hope that helps.

These are hard to explain but they are basically a silicone/rubber coupling used in plumbing. I will do a tutorial of my turner setup and talk a bit more about it in depth and hopefully that will better answer your question.
