Hey sir, I checked your website and I'm really eager to learn, but unfortunately I cannot afford them as your price is 20times the price in my country which is super expensive. R13622.35 in South Africa. Would it be possible for you to make prices differ according to different regions/ continents or first, second and third world countries? It would open doors for potential architecture students in poverty stricken environments. Thank you

Previous one solution was actually right one. One of the most wrong use case of Repeat Zone nodes is to create this kind indices. Users actually should use node groups with just one `0123456789` instance geometry and instancing on points with using math to pars values to indices of digits. This is such both for performance reason (just computing of indices much faster than overhead of repeat zone) and for memory usage (we do not reuse the same digit geometry in instances for different calls of `String to Curve` node).

Thank you for making such nice tutorial. When I repeat your work in Blender 4.1, in the Edit mode, under Face button, there is no "Rotate face" option. I saw the last option is "face Data". Using F3 to search "Rotate face", there is nothing. Could you tell me what happen, or do you have some hint for me?

It would probably take the combined efforts of most countries in the world to build such a structure. Which would be a folly because it is so impractical and would be non-livable. It would sink trillions of dollars and untold resources into something that would be a dystopian nightmare. Even if it could be livable, who would live there? The wealthy and most elite, and then all the refugees of the world will be outside storming the gates to get inside. People inside would be under siege and then starved when they are cut off from food and water. It would make a great future dystopian film, but will not happen in reality. Thanks for your great video.
This is a very cool and intuitive process for form generation. Thanks for sharing!

😞 I'm having an issue with the landing portion of the tutorial. I'm able to get the upper portion of the landing to seal along the Y when grabble the empty but the lower porting connect to the ground doesn't scale. The upper portion of the landing is wider than the base of the landing. A triangular shape. Is there a problem with my vertex groupings? I checked to make sure all of the vertices were in that group but still an issue.
@Motions_AP28 күн бұрын
Fixed it, there was a problem with my initial shape and expanding the bounding shapes accordingly to my staircase. Thank you for the awesome tutorial!

awesome video! hey i know very little about this and my inglish is poor, but you can combine corners ?. i mean can you make a component that functions with corners, that one face funcion with X direction, and the other face with Y direction
@UHStudioАй бұрын
There are a few easy to combine corners properly. The first is through having separate types of panels in the corners that may nicely. The second is through creating a 45 degree face on the corners and again using a special panel that addresses both sides

I think you hit the nail on the head with the ''in the project' comment. Your experience is in the starchitect realm it seems. I've worked in both glamorous vs functional bread and butter kind of stuff. What I would like to add , based on your spot on comment, is drawings / documentation is only one piece of the puzzle , relationship building is something more important. I mean you literally could build a lot of projects from text based descriptions
@UHStudioАй бұрын
Totally! There are many different avenues, after 5 or so years of experience and it varies. Although, my experience isn't limited to "starchitect" firms, it is true that more internationally-oriented firms with larger clients on projects won via competitions or bids tend to be much more demanding and more anonymous than small-to-medium firms that may deal with long-term clients in their region, e.g. developers. Hence in those situations, they understand how to work with each other more efficiently.
@GaryParrisАй бұрын
yes there is a massive problem with over working and over deadlining everything in life based on business not creative!
@UHStudioАй бұрын
Indeed! We have to become more aware of our own boundaries and be comfortable with the fact, that "hey, I won't loose my job if I don't stay late tonight" And the other issue is the lack of proper management skills I have observed in firms.

My school wanted architects to be able to work in a high energy studio environment something that never interested me. So after 3.5 years in arch school I changed to film school, yes it was also grueling but in a different manner. Learned enough to work on some personal and small projects now that im retired.
@UHStudioАй бұрын
Interesting! I always thought that the TV and film industry can be even more demanding than the architecture industry. But you found it otherwise? Or is it about being able to plug-in after the initial gruelling experience with getting acquanted with the industry?
@ereceemeАй бұрын
@@UHStudio Yes its demanding while you are in production or close to production. But otherwise not so much. After you finish you mostly a long time to rest. its was always never a 7-24 thing. yes long days but not always. In arch school I lived in the class room
@esparapseАй бұрын
great video. but I have to say, when you say thinks like this, it's when you're kicked out haha! Just kidding. In my opinion it all depends on your level of commitment for the job. If you're high value you may be allowed to say things like this. If you are just a monkey doing a task, you can't risk yourself going in that direction. One of the things that I most recomend if you're tired of architectural practice it's to change a little bit your work. Enter a competition, design some furniture, take photos, help a friend with their apartment renovation, I dont know! What I'm trying to say it's put some effort and work on your own too, It's super important to keep you proud of yourself and that's very good to your mental health
@UHStudioАй бұрын
You raise a great point which I believe is directly addressing the situation - we are led to believe there is no alternative but to put in the grunt work and learn while doing it. Yes, we can all improve our skills and learn how to be efficient better. But the level of requirements are such that it is frequently needed to prioritise work above all else. And your are also right that I am free to say this because in a way I am outside the typical grunt work, by choice. However, I was also the one that was learning software on the weekend, staying countless late nights doing last minute changes, and prioritising work above all else. But perhaps practicing boundaries at all levels without fear of being overlooked for a raise or promotion is what's needed
