hi, is the process the same to play PAL games in the Japanese game cube?

Ok so I have 2 issues with my controller (one of them isn't related to the repair). So now I've reassembled it and it works perfectly fine however I noticed that I couldn't insert the logic board all the way in. I think it's a little angled in the controller now and while it doesn't affect the controls, the left stick is a little lower than the right one, and it's gonna make some plastic wear more than before. I don't know why, the logic board just doesn't go perfectly in the shell. The second issue was already here before I opened it, and basically if I press circle there's a loud click from the inside. It works, but it's loud. Thanks anyway for the tutorial, but if someone has ideas for my issues, that would be nice :)

A mere two layers of electrical tape on the foam did the trick for me. Doesn't take much to keep it from sinking into the gaps in the plastic. Thanks for the tip. I'd already taken the whole thing apart and cleaner up every button, racking my brain as to what the problem was.

How is the input lag though

I’ve just replaced the laser on my Saturn but it still won’t read discs. When I load a disc the laser moves and tries to read the disc but it won’t spin up. I tried tweaking the potentiometer but still no joy. Anything else I can try? Thanks

well they never greased the tracks on those trays. That would have made them last and not get stuck

Nice video, but can you do the same with a clone NES? There is no board with diodes on the controller ports and the VCC and GND of the controller port do not match. Could you make a video in this case? Thanks

You legend. I just fixed 2 controllers I was ready to bin as they acted like they were posessed and going crazy. Instead of the sticky paper I used blutac. It fills the gap nice and holds the felt pad in place. Thanks for the tip.

2024 my ps5 was stolen so i broke out my ps3 controller to use on my gaming laptop which i had with me at the time or it would of got stole.Since i no longer had my ps5 controller my ps3 controller started pushing all the buttons when i moved the left stick and this fixed it hell yes

Hello. Thank you so very much for the video. I purchased an NTSC-U Saturn that has this same switch in the back. Unfortunately the console has just a black screen but is getting a signal per my TV. The switch did snap off as it was sent to me in a box that was too tight of a fit, but it was sold as no video prior to the switch breaking off in shipping. Do you think just removing the wires to the board may resolve the problem? I do not solder currently so I don't know if I can repair, plus I'd have to find another switch. If I ever do I totally agree with you about mounting the switch inside the case and not drilling a hole in the poor case as previous owner did. Thank you again.

I have an Australian NES Mattel version that the tip of the power adapter is different than the tip in the US NES consoles. I am in the US and would like to use the US power adapter. What can I do about the tip being different?

I bought a new laser. The disc spins but makes a clicking noise. Won't read the disc. Any ideas why it's clicking

I think most of the problem on these consoles is the lockout chip. Disabling that I think would solve most of the problems.

Over time the foam gets pressed down on the plastic ridges in the housing. While the ridges hold it in place they also make it thinner over time. Just turn it over so the thick part is down and it's back to factory spec.

I've 3 controllers that aren't working anymore. Two are pressing themselves so I can't choose anything and the other one the arrow buttons and the X∆O[] buttons aren't working, going to try this out later 👍

Thanks your video helped me save a original nintendo game boy dmg-01 system I gently scraped the battery terminals brass and solder blobs on on the back cpu board so much green corrosion it fixed my original nintendo gameboy dmg-01 system now it works excellent
