Ciao ragazzi, qualcuno sa dirmi se il mio cognome è di origine italiana? Il mio cognome è Sovich. Ho sentito che nella lingua del dialetto questo è il nome della provincia di Sovico. È solo molto interessante. O è una coincidenza?

I am sure this is a PIANOLA (trade mark of Aeolian company); "Autopiano" was only a trademark of player pianos of Kastner & Co., London / later Kästner & Co, Leipzig!

My German organ teacher (Hans-Hermann Kurig, 1914-2002) was fond of saying, "One must have the spark." I did not and do not have The Spark. Pierre Pincemaille had The Spark, and more: he had The Gift. The gift of being open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Of the organists of our time, the only other one with The Gift is Sophie-Veronique Cauchefer-Choplin, co-titulaire of Saint-Sulpice. Both she and Pierre beat Cochereau by the proverbial country mile. Thank You, Lord, for having given us Pierre Pincemaille, even for so short a time.

Géniale improvisation. Magnifique. Chaque motif est une surprise. Harmonies transcendantes. Messiaen puis Ravel, Stravinsky...un tourbillon fantastique. Quel grand musicien, inspiré.

Est-il si difficile pour un organiste d'être admiratif envers un collègue? Je suis triste de lire des commentaires négatifs... Pincemaille était un immense interprète, professeur et surtout improvisateur. Merci pour tous ces beaux moments qu'ils nous a laissé.

Chi saranno quei 7 dissidenti che hanno messo pollice verso il basso sul video dove Duprè esegue la sua composizione Cortege et Litanie? Per il mio esame di diploma avrei eseguito più volentieri questa composizione invece della 2° sonata di Hindemith, ma forse durava di più per raggiungere i 50 minuti di tempo. Questa composizione l'ho ascoltata solo a Roma una volta eseguita da Alessandro Esposito nella basilica dei SS.Apostoli sul Mascioni a 3 manuali, e così pure il tema e variazioni di Bossi eseguì( del tema e variazioni conoscevo solo la mia versione studiata per il diploma). Scusa se sono un grafomane ma poichè tu sei un pensatore gradirai certo leggere pensieri di altri.

I francesi l'improvvisazione ce l'hanno nel DNA, c'è poco da fare. Pincemaille è un grande, anche se emula (troppo?) il suo geniale maestro Cochereau, il quale fu un fenomeno nell'Arte dell'improvvisazione, forse il più grande. Comunque improvvisazione stupenda.

La differenza tra lo stile di Pincemaille e quello di Cochereau è molto sottile ma ben presente.. e, appunto, Pincemaille non è mai stato allievo di Cochereau (almeno non formalmente); ha appreso la sua arte ascoltandolo per anni mentre suonava in cattedrale a Notre-Dame. Concordo, improvvisazione strepitosa! :)
