The bearings need ten thousandths play, the best way to adjust that is to bolt the wheels on. Then spin the wheele and tighten the bearing nut until the wheel won't spin, then back the nut off as you spin the wheel. Put one hand on the top of the wheel and one on the bottom move back and forth spinning the wheel adjusting the nut as you go. When you get the play to where if you tighten you feel no play,and you loosen and feel aliitle play you got it right. I've been doing this for 61 years. This will save you time and money.

Hey mate, great video! My transmission just started playing up. The revs fluctuate and today when i tried to take off at the lights it was gutless then all of a sudden changed through the gears (auto lol) I checked the level and its well below the C. Question... will it be best to do a top up only. Or do a fulll drain and topup like you have. Its cvtf-j4

Another great video. Thanks for putting it together. Have you driven around with the tote completely full? Is it worth doing the leaf spring version, or is this version good enough?
@aheindustries
@aheindustries 6 күн бұрын
Cheers, yep I regularly fill it up and tow it behind the quad. You can tell it's a bit bumpier with no springs but not too bad. Tyre pressure and sidewall height could help with this also. I think I won't bother with springs in the future builds unless it is to be road licensed.

Dang I thought I had too many trailers. I don't know that the leaf springs are necessary. Without springs you could lower the trailer so that you can use all the water in the tank. Cool stuff though.

My second car was one of these & Ive owned two others , common issues with these beasts is the automatic choke system mucks up & can cause the throttle linkages to seize up, believe it or not, from memory and we are talking quite a few decades ago now, the temperature sensing is tubes into the exhaust manifold & the tubes corrode & let exhaust fumes & tar enter the choke chamber that has a bi metal coil in it , & the tar gums up the works !. I have successfully re built the carby in the second RT104 I owned , this car had an auto trans in it and had done around half a million K's, the worst thing with these is the timing chains don't last, they have an upper & a lower chain & they only last 80000 Km's :(, if I recall correctly ?, otherwise as far as I know, besides the choke issue, they are pretty bullet proof, although my first one's engine got taken out by the recon radiator that split at the bottom, so all coolant went out underneath the car, & in those days a water level sensor wasn't a standard fitment ! :((((, so I had no idea anything was wrong until the car started running rough & loosing power ! :( , temp gauge actually went down ! , useless without any water in the cooling system as it turns out !, funny that hey, only very not funny !, anyway good luck with your project, hope it all goes well, I wish I could grab one of these & restore it, anyway cheers n thanks , Paul.

Hello. I have a 2015 Mitsubishi outlander and the trans starts to shutter between in drive like 5-6 maybe 4-5th gear change. This is my mother’s car. Code P1773, and I have her using the sport mode shift and it’s doing better but now the lights for and this issue are supposedly connected. If you have any idea why or how I can possibly fix this, could you please let me know. Thanks. My patience with this thing and no one will fix them is testing my patience. lol 😅

Is it okay to use a different brand of CVT oil? As far as I know, draining the oil does not remove all of it from the gearbox, so it will mix with the new oil.

Midland is an American Radio Company. That looks like a CB or possibly a VHF radio. Not really sure. We dont get those in the US in Kubota machines. Maybe it is law in your country to have a radio included so that you can talk to other people or your dealer must have added that as some bonus. I notice in your excavator video you also got a radio installed also for two way comms. Nice machine. Hope you are enjoying after the last few months.

You're gonna have to pull the motor mount. There are facebook groups, and videos on YT to help you out. I tried to link you to it, but stupid YT comment policies won't let me. Pulling the mount isn't hard from what I've seen, just more work. Order some crush washers as well for the drain plugs.

Wait a tick, you said yours was a 2015, AWD? It might be under the battery actually, that's where mine was. I believe some time in 2016 or 2017 is when they moved it to behind the motor mount. Under the batter bracing, you'll see a similar looking cylinder, 4 bolts, two tubes running out of it. You'll have to pull the battery, and remove the air vent/tunnel, then remove the bracing. There are bolts underneath the bracing too, 10mm. I'd highly recommend have a finger ratchet to help you get those off, with extensions, *after you break them lose. Your fingers will thank you. Harbor Freight ftw.
