The reason for red/orangish meat is because they are feeding off crustaceans and bugs more than minnows. Has nothing to do with stock or natural fish

I went there yesterday the fish is still there roams around the same place but bites nothing lol guess he learned his lesson after you caught him ( I mean it looks the same size and colour)

both lake trout and specs spawn in the fall. ( that’s why they close september/ october in basically every zone)

Gorgeous! That fish at 13:50 was a Splake, easy to confuse with lakers.
