nah my friend got the full suit and the hand sensor just ripped off while he was raising his hand, the cables and plugs are done and this isnt even a year old. Its surely a constructive mistake from Rokoko but they wont pay for it. Thats bullshit for that Price range.

I would use it for Vtubing. Being able to use a head mounted camera instead of a webcam or phone would be so nice for freedom of movement being able to walk away from the webcam without loosing tracking.

Id use the headcam for getting a base level of facial animation in fully animated projects and for using it to test Vtuber face rigs making sure they can emote properly. This is such a good solution light weight solution for face tracking. The headcam plus the suit and gloves at the current indy bundle price seems like such a good way to make high quality 3D vtuber content while not relying on programs such as VRchat.

We are a small team of college students based in India, with a dream of creating games despite our limited resources. Currently, we are working on our first game - a slice-of-life action-adventure that tells a grounded love story with Indian themes and cultural representation, drawing inspiration from games like 'A Memoir Blue' and 'What Remains of Edith Finch' and Indian movie classics like "Barfi" and "The lunchbox". If we win this giveaway, we would be able to capture the high fidelity and nuanced expressions needed to convey the expressions needed in a love story as we are planning to follow the principle of "show don't tell" with heavy uses of closeup shots to visually convey the emotions. fingers crossed :) we really really really need this.

Howdy, Rokoko! I'd use the Headcam for the KZfaq channel I'm starting (sketch comedy and short films). It would be the final infinity stone in my mocap set up (already got your suit and gloves). Thank you so much for the giveaway and for making this tech so accessible. What a time to be alive <3

I would use it to precisely capture my Characters' emotions and dialogues and bring them to life during gameplay and cinematics in my Unreal game. Already own the suit and coil pro. This would be an excellent addition for the complete mocap workflow and save hours of difficult animation work.

The rokoko headcam seems very interesting. I wonder what it could mean to see human emotions play out in a virtual setting. How would it effect our interaction if we adjust it to smile when we cry or are sad. Very interesting stuff. I'd love to win one and do some research with it🦋

Finally someone did it! I especially like the ergonomic design and the front camera, it will be a game changer with the lighter weight. Me and a friend have been working on a game for 6 months. We are currently doing the face capture with a self-made mount. That would make our lives a lot easier and cause less neck pain😅

Film director from Berlin here, leaving my comment in the hope I’ll be the lucky one to win this beautiful tool ❤️🙏 My goal is to merge the incredible Berlin’s new media artists and experimental music scenes into filmmaking. I have a cinematic project that would see the combination of motion capture using metahumans in Unreal Engine, generative/audio-reactive art using Touch Designer, a talented actress and a drone musician. I always valued the effort of giving independent artists access to such tools, which were previously inaccessible because too expensive. This is the opportunity to express ourselves in ways that once were only possible with astronomical budgets 🙏

We're working on a project that desperately needs a high-end headcam. The project is bringing entertainment, education, and instruction to deaf people all over the world. We're doing it via Rokoko motion capture suit, gloves, and coil (which we're purchasing soon). BTW, deaf people are THE SINGLE most underserved people group ON THE PLANET in terms of having video based entertainment, education, and instruction options. We'd love to chat more with Rokoko about partnering with us on this project, in fact!

The headcam looks awesome and I’d use it for soooo many projects. Syncing body and facial motion in a high quality and lightweight way is exciting. - I made a homemade head cam a while back and it’s…not great. Heavy and a bit painful. 😞 The Rokoko HeadCamlooks awesome and would help take things to the next level! 😃
