Anthony Andrews a really nice guy and consummate actor, who never stops smiling!

Very nice, but to me the original is still the best. How can you beat a film with Leslie Howard, Merle Oberon and Raymond Massey?

The 1934 version was fun as well. It occasionally shows up on "classic" TV channels.

After 50 years now I understand why Anthony Andrews was a familiar face when I watched "Brideshead Revisited" in 1983: I had seen him in Upstairs Downstairs!! I'm Italian and British series were my favourites.

A fine adventure, but Jane and Anthony could have done a version with characters of far greater richness and depth then the adventure format gave them. A loss.

It would of been funnier if Ivanhoe would of been like, "No you've got the wrong end of the stick me and my mine are literally just passing through the forrest. The timing is obviously unfortunate but I'm not here to fight for anyone in fact I couldn't give a toss what happens to her to be honest. Anyway as I've already ready said we are on our way to somewhere else so can't hang around indefinitely .. CHEERIO!!!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
