After you've coupled and before you press the couple button, you should do a 'tug test'. Put it into reverse and then apply a small amount of power for a couple of seconds . It ensures the units won't come apart!

@@RailwayManUK indeed - we call that a stretch and we do it before putting the air through - in the case of this train effectively we did do it because I pulled the other set backwards but I did not talk about it. The game doesn't really handle the concept because it immediately takes over the coupled unit with no interaction within that unit. I've watched it happen in the UK and there was activity in both the coupling cab and the coupled cab. No idea what they actually did though. I assume pressing couple button in both units and I would imagine but do not know that the coupled unit would not release its brakes until that had happened to allow for a coupler stretch.

@@Robert.S459 it likely depends where you sit on the real one, I used 158s in Wales too in May and I didn't notice any particular sound over the top of the passengers - I don't hear anything much in my videos have you got any examples?

Hi again - I tried the train this morning and it definitely plays brake sounds but they are quiet. I checked my videos and another colleague Josh found me some example videos and the sounds are quiet on these IRL. Much quieter than other Sprinter trains. I've offered the feedback to Skyhook that perhaps it could be brought up beyond what is realistic so its easily heard. @@trainsimulatordriver Sadly I have not. I took a Video of the train arriving at Craven Arms and there was not much in the way of noise from the brakes. The noise occurred whilst travelling at speed, it may have been a transmission noise on overrun when throttling off.

When I changed from running the old programs on TSW2 and the newer programs on TSW4 and moved them all to TSW4. The problem I had with LIRR Extended reappeared again.

I went through using Sony and Dovetail.

All the same I did last time. Everything was cured last time but took too much memory. Now the opposite.

get into the cab next to the part you want to leave behind, retract the nose then press the couple button and back away from the part you are leaving behind

@@joeallan1969 in real life you'd press the couple button, v drive slightly towards the other unit to ease up and release the coupler mechanically then pull back finalising the move by retracting the nose by holding the blue switch on your right in retract. In the game you probably don't need to do the ease up.
