At least you've got a microwave bud, my company won't allow one let alone pay for one. I've had a camping stove , thats it and been like that for 2 years, sometimes i think is tramping really worth it.

Things are changing, companies are slowly waking up and realising that to get divers through the door, they need to kit out their trucks expecially for tramping.

The go pro hero 12 I use to record does so at 60fps, but the dash is digital, unfortunately the refresh rate of this is slower than the go pro's 60fps, therefore the flicker appears, I have tried to fix it with no luck, work in progress, if anyone knows how this can be fixed please let me know thanks all.

The system I want..is that a truck gets priority to "fly through junction".. and other have to get behind.. We do not want stopping or slow down..

@@OGTruckerTimbo When i was in belgium was nice.. where truck through village has some kinda unofficial priority cos bigger etc.. and didnt need to stop, its was a kinda community think, with bikes stopping cars etc..

I do find it easier to dive abroad, a lot more respect for truckers, over in the UK, I think people just close their eyes and hope for the best.

Thank you. Yes, I do like the MAN it is a bit underpowered for my liking, but I'm just a power-hungry individual, so I'm quite hard to please in that area, lol. It can get a bit bouncy when solo or empty but as trucks go, you can do a full shift and not be crippled by the experience.

Gday Tim Do you only need an escort if you are over 3.5 mtrs ? If so then it is the same over here They certainly don't give you much room to park in the truck stop lol Good job and Take Care

Yea over 3.5m on STGO regulations, however you can use an escort if your less and going through a tight area, you'll see this more so with the static caravan movers. Truck stops are a nightmare over here in the UK, if I had pushed to Sedgemoor services there wouldn't have been no space what so ever, so it's always good to have that knowledge and plan where to stop.

I was devastated, and it was all my fault, silly camera not being idiot proof. As for the chain's there is a bit of controversy, some drivers cross, some don't, however the military does, not sure where I'm going with that one lol. Thanks for the complement and keep on trucking! Take care fella.

Gday Tim I was wondering why you truck drivers don't use UHF or CB radios ? In Australia we all use UHF radios in our trucks, it would have been much easier to call that you were coming up the hill with a wide load and the other trucks could have waited in a suitable area Take Care and Best Wishes from Tasmania

I do have one myself, but the other lorries is very unlikely that they have one, I can switch my cb radio on in the morning and have radio silance all day, it's very surprising on how the UK has left them behind.

greetings, i am loving the content couild i ask what are the specs on your truck?

It's a MAN TGX XXL with the D26 13L stright 6 engine putting out 510hp, which is the highest output for this particular engine at this age. For more power you need the D38 engine. As for the cab, nothing special all basic with fridge and cab heaters, however ours do come with a microwave. Tyres it's 315 all round. I live in the South West and sadly the Highways are very bad, so unless the quaries invest in the access to the sites nothing will improve. Thanks for the ride. Take care.

With CAT 1 there is no difference, but with CAT 2 and above it's reduced to 40mph on the motorway, with that machine on I'm running at CAT 1

Interesting video, been watching low loader vids to try and get a head start ready for tomorrow. I start work on low loaders, first time in my hgv career doing it. Also got a new channel that will be dedicated to it.

Right on, good luck on the low loaders, one tip, don't cut corners when it comes to securing loads as the DVSA can always see your load when they drive past and we are easy targets, if your going on the big stuff remember the embargo's and follow your movement orders as that stuff can get you parked up for a few days if done incorrectly. Brilliant video mate watched all the way to the end. You were spot on with most of the commentary but just a small correction... the junction at Hirwaun where the new bridges are being built will allow traffic from Aberdare to pass over the new dual into Hirwaun village, or down the old A465 to join the new junction at Rhigos, but at Trewaun itself there won't be any slip roads on or off the A465, traffic will be diverted down to either Rhigos junction or up to Croesbychan. Would be great to see another video from you in a year or two when the road is finished. 😃

Thanks for the updated info, it's a bit hard to see what they are planing when your driving past, a drone would be a good idea for some footage there too.
