What about other Brony events in New York City? Brooklyn had a Brony convention which was at the now demolished Grand Prospect Hall back in 2017 or 2018. Nowadays you can watch MLP FiM in Italian and if anyone who watches MLP in the Italian dub, they will spend a weekend down in Brooklyn, NY where all of the Italian immigrants lives there and meet the longtime fans of the Italian dub and take a tour around Carroll Gardens, and then spend the night at any of the Italian restaurants through Brooklyn, and play some Italian music like Lou Monte, the guy who did “Lazy Mary”, “Peppino the Italian Mouse” and others, plus Jimmy Roselli, Connie Francis, Jerry Vale, Al Martino and more.

BronyCon was a convention that took place during the Brony Movement (2010-2019).

what tf is a bronycon

Been part of the community since 2013. I've always desperately wanted to go to an mlp convention but I live in northern canada and was too young up until 2018. It would have cost thousands of dollars to go for me lol. Sounds like a great time!

So far I have only been to two conventions, TrotCon 2015 and TrotCon 2024. If you’re interested I have a short vid of myself in full cosplay.

The idea to flip through the con books for the video was a really cool touch. It was fun to see some of the books for cons I haven't attended!

i just went to a convention for the FIRST time this year. Planning on going back many times.

“we may have been reduced to a smaller number, but we’re still mighty” spend a looot of time figuring out what changed and I couldn’t have said it any better. That said, through out the last years I met so many new people joining our fandom its insane 😍

That's awesome you went to BronyCon. I wish I was able to go to BronyCon but I have been to 13 conventions since Ciderfest 2021. Many more to come.

My first con was Babscon 2024.

It’s cool to see I’m not the only one who keeps con books around years after a con occurred! Still crazy the biggest Brony convention was literally in my backyard was so long. So many good memories at that con. Thankful for great con’s that are still around like Ciderfest (still my fave pony con), SQF and Everfree! Also really like the style of this video as well!

I only been to galacon once I been to 4 con online I don’t think that counts they ware in Minecraft discord and gmod and I been to lots of events trough ponytown as well

As a late 2023 brony. I feel like I missed a lot

Note to any future amtrak passengers. Do NOT leave the train for the station restrooms. You have been warned. I do wish that i wasn't dealing with immensely depressing life situations during the bronycons i was able to attend. I really missed out on something amazing by being sadge the whole time for both. All the more reason to keep going to ponycons now tho. They really are an experience that can't be matched. Bonus points for additional frisbee fun. I'm noticing a strange pattern throughout this video. Somehow, the addition of friends appears to make experiences even better... Curious. Maybe something a horse scientist can figure out.

Why you Americans have so many conventions 😭

Eqla 2013- first con/first interaction with anyone from the show. Tabitha st Germain walked by as i was eating a huge sandwich and told me "you'd better eat the whole thing" playfully of course. Everfree Northwest 2013- ended up rooming with a Navy guy i met at the airport. Me being former military and him being active we he had a Navy Dixie cup he wanted signed to sell at auction. First encounter with major Brony names/show staff. Got to be behind the scenes for the VA panel and hang out with Peter, the voice actor for Shining Armor Michelle Creber and others. Went onstage with my friend to auction off the Dixie cup. Babscon 2014- became impromptu handler for a dj after the arm wrestling challenge dislocated his shoulder and fully got involved in planning his moves including keeping track of meetups and other things. Got to know other djs and offered my assistance to them as well. Babscon 2015- handled for more djs and just was backstage most of the time including somewhat working the con as staff including guarding a door to a panel room for vas and finally met Tara Strong who's actually pretty chill and cool. Everfree 2015- more handling and meeting Ink Quill the author of Past Sins and pretty much just chillin in Ingred Nilson's room. Fun night in hot tub with her and others as well as picking one of the producer's brains on the show and getting confirmation that the apple parents were indeed dead. Watched the premiere of Lullaby for a princess with them too. Eqla 2015- my last con but still fun. Handling eating out with djs and big Brony names along with being backstage for the concert getting some great pics of Gabe and Michelle onstage which i still have on my old phone. Con crud is real. Shower as much as possible, don't be afraid to interact with anyone because you never know just what could happen. I never in my life thought I'd meet VAS big names in a fandom or even go to a con. I'm glad i did though and would love to get back into the con scene.

I was at all BronyCons starting in 2013, Trotcon 2014-2016 and 2018, and Ciderfest 2017-2018, so I'm sorry I missed you at all of those, but we sadly hadn't met each other online yet. ^^; Well I'm gonna try and see if I can get to vendor at TrotCon next year and maybe Seaquestria, so hopefully we will finally meet!
