Nice work you have here. Reminds me of early Zelda 64 Beta stages. Also for some reason, Shadowgate 64.

I haven’t showcased much else other than HM but I might do a twitter! I take so many screenshots of the development process and changes. 👀 it’s called the masked ones 😎 based on how The Happy Mask salesman could have gotten the Majoras mask

Cool music. I find most indie composers underwhelming but this track was very striking. Hopefully there are mores tunes that match this quality.

This gives me an idea that different great forests in Hyrule have their own Deku Tree in them, and this is just another one of several. As if the forests themselves are just an extension of a single Great Tree; a single root system originating from the Great Tree that supports an entire forest.

I have been looking at your works and you my friend nail the aspect of the unknown fantasy of the zelda franchise that i dont see very much of unfortunately in offical zelda works. You truly understand the atmosphere of traveling the unknown, i hope one day i get to see one of your projects on the home page of the hyrule modding site.

yeah i could do! my textures are mostly just sampled colours from photographs of my home town. I'm using 32x32 and 32x64 scale for my textures. i use layering effects in photoshop and adding noise layers with different opacity.

I love the choice of color and atmosphere here. The obvious choice for an abandon rundown town is dark and grey and moody. But this is serene, almost, haunting in a totally different way. And the music just hits the nail on the head for such a location, though it needs to break out into a longer melody so it doesn’t get too monotonous 😅 I really want to see your scenes in a hack one day. ❤
@ultra553820 күн бұрын
It’ll be put together into something decent I reckon! The song did carry on longer but I didn’t want to showcase all the details of the map. So I removed some story related mesh and cut it short. Zel said the vertex colours can be used as well as environment lighting so gonna mash the two so it’s not as monotone
@Ryan-qx7th21 күн бұрын
Looks great! Love the buried houses.
@MrFoxInc21 күн бұрын
This is fantastic and puts me in a weirdly melancholic mood. It seems like a pretty sad place. Love the lighting in this too! Vertex shading goes a long way, although I imagine it's quite some work if you get into the details to make it look this nice. Great job, either way!
@ultra553820 күн бұрын
i can say it has taken a full day and a half to do the vertex lighting. always fixing up small seams. the new blender version isnt great with vertex colouring like blender 2.7 was. with the recent change to the new blender, i designed new models to help with map making. so i can pump these maps out quick with minimal seams.
