Damn they send a heavy rescue to an elevator entrapment?! 😳 Vancouver won’t even respond to elevator rescues unless there’s a medical involved…

Yep! Rescues go on a ton of different calls in Boston. It's actually the same in Montréal for some entrapment cases.

Yeah, I usually have the lighting settings on auto because I can't be bothered to mess with the manual settings each time I'm in a new environment. Unfortunately that's just a product of my laziness. Going to try to tighten things up eventually.

Nice catch but who designed that thing? Can't you just use a normal body on that chassis like on a Ford E-Line?? We have them her in Germany and I have seen some from Life EMS out of Michigan.

It was an ill-fated design, I'll give you that. Urgences-santé is currently working to put several replacement rescue trucks based on heavier chassis into service to replace both of these units.

@@MTL911EmergencyPhotography Are these inteded as ALS Ambulances or are the MICUs for Intervasility transport? I looked more into it an Demers builds the MX152 which is build on a sprinter chassis.

They don't transport anything except for specialized evacuation/rescue equipment to support ambulance crews in moving patients. A lot of the information displayed in this video (and description) are admittedly very outdated, as I knew less of their role then than I do now.

Thanks, Timur! Yes I agree, our vehicles (especially the newer ones with Whelen Core) look amazing and I've been very lucky to be able to capture so many running their sirens as of late! Usually they seem to prefer a silent approach.

You're not wrong! The 2022+ Explorers come equipped with Whelen siren tones. The whole equipment setup for that model year onward is different from the older ones.

I have seen some new changes in the ford explorer 2020. The lightbar has changed and also the sirens.

Good eye! The 2022+ Explorers have Whelen Cenator lightbars and Whelen siren tones (both the same as the SQ).

😮 it amazes me how these guys get through heavy traffic kudos to them that they have the patience for that for me. I would never have the patience for that. I just be like get the hell out of my way and then just push the cars with the push bumper the ambulance had that even though that would be highly illegal.
