I’ve got both , fixed solar on the roof and a portable 100w panel with a power station , if your just going away for a few days the power station will power most of what you need , all depends on how long your away for .

Yeh I fitted myself, it’s pretty easy , just use the right wires , connections and fuses and take your time ! Once you’ve changed you will see a massive difference to both charging and useable amp hours , I should have done it ages ago !

Van life is not legal in UK, we have laws to stop sleeping on the streets. Totally misinformed that resting on a journey is legal but living on a public highway is illegal.

Is Vanlife Legal In The UK? The easy answer to this question is yes, van life is generally legal in the UK in the sense that there is no law stating that you can't live in a van or any other vehicle so long as that vehicle meets legal guidelines.

Can you legally sleep in your van UK? Technically, no explicit national laws stop you from sleeping in your campervan overnight while parked on a public road. That said, you generally aren't allowed to as some streets in the UK can be subject to local regulations. Different areas may have specific rules regarding overnight parking and camping in vehicles

It is not illegal to park and sleep on a street with no restrictions I know this as a neighbours brother stayed in his in my street and someone reported him to the police. N9 further action taken.

The Vagrancy Act 1824 (5 Geo. 4. c. 83) is an Act of Parliament of the United Kingdom that makes it an offence to sleep rough or beg in England and Wales. I’m neither sleeping rough or begging, I’m fully taxed, have a current MOT, insurance and breakdown cover and am able to park and sleep legally in any part of the UK that does not have any over night restrictions, to label people such as I vagrants is both ignorant and offensive and by the sounds of your posts I see an undertone of jealousy, I’ve worked for over 30 years and paid thousands in tax and national insurance and for you to moan about not paying council tax is simply just stupid , stop being a keyboard warrior , go outside and simply enjoy life.

@@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment Walter is the best !! Dead easy to work on and full of character 😂 Diesel heaters are brilliant and cost peanuts to run and use very little power , and very easy to fit, with what you’ve done on your van so far fitting a diesel heater will be a piece of cake !!

That is a bumpy section. Im familiar with it. I vanlifed 3 years ago and parked up there bit further up. Happyy memories. Great bike, and regen too. Thats one thing id like, how you cope with smaller wheels?

Hello from Ireland big fella, just discovered your channel. I'm a van deweller myself, I'm a long distance lorry driver and only get home a couple days per week. So was a no brainer for me, why have a home sitting empty when out on the road with work. But however I'm renting a unit where I keep my camper out of the harse weather especially in the winter and I can plug it in to mains electricity. And summer head out about. Tbh I wouldn't do it any other way I love it. Loving your content 👌

A friend of mine did similar to you, didn’t sell his house, released equity by way of equity release. Bought a 2021 Mercedes lwb all signing all dancing awd. Lives in his mobile palace between south of France and Spain for 9 months of the year. Said it’s the best thing he’s ever done. Made loads of new friends, some serious you tube van lifers on his travels. Comes home for Xmas, spend time with family, gets his palace serviced, beginning of March, that’s it he’s off, said he’ll give it up when funds run out but he’s been lucky, does bar work in both countries for a few months at a time, keeps him going with fuel food etc.

Oh yes ! It has all the leads and connectors needed to connect to a multitude of different power banks, I only bought it as a supplement so I can angle direct to the sun , what we get ! But I am going to get power station at a on e time
