@@harryf1ashman hi thanks for watching, I personally didn't notice any public service bus, security is tight around the airport, so any public busses may drop some distance from terminal, taxis are cheap and easy to get and I would think much better in terms of a door to door service. Most hotels offer airport transfers.

@@harryf1ashman taxi cost depends on how good you are at haggling, try to uses local currency, a example was a taxi ride we had in Luxor he asked for 10$ or 10£ for two people for a 7 - 10 Minute trip, I ended up paying £100 Egyptian which is about £1.30 sterling. Always agree total price before you get in and don't forget a tip is expected. They love to price in dollars euros or pounds as tourists are used to there own currency but not Egyptian. Remember 10 euro is around £550 Egyptian pounds, petrol in Egypt is £15 Egyptian per ltr (about .25 euro cents per ltr) , wages for unskilled workers are less than €1.50 a hour. Tourists are generally seen as wealthy fools (which might be true Lol) and so try hard to extract the most cash out of us.. (I don't blame them) 😔

@@MrRoyella1 thanks so much we had a wonderful time is Egypt as usual. Drink prices on board are priced in Egyptian pounds and so a lot depends on the current exchange rate, but as a example I spent just over £5600 Egyptian pounds on drinks in total over the week, ( Julie has about 4-5 glasses of wine a day and I would have 4 large bottles of beer a day, loads of bottles of water, few soft drinks / coffees ) and that worked out at less than £90 sterling, at the time 68 Egyptian = 1 pound UK. Drinks package is £160 UK sterling per person all inclusive. You would need to drink a lot to make all inclusive worth it I think. Also if you are doing all the tours remember they start very early morning, and bars close on board around 11:30 ISH at night. Thanks for watching 👍😎 and commenting 👍

@@stevenleigh1283 hi thanks for your question, we did not notice a soft drinks package, but they may well offer that. but to be honest drinks are not expensive, tea and coffee / fruit juice are provided with breakfast but no other meal, yet a kettle is provided in your cabin with tea and coffee, but not milk ? you would need to buy bottled water for your kettle, don't use tap water . One other point is when "on the water cruising" afternoon tea / coffee / cake is provided for free on the top deck ( which is very popular) and you can get refills. I just bought a large water (1.5 lt) with lunch and dinner every day It was very cheap. Hope you Have a wonderful time as we did 😎🙂👍

Couple of other questions if I may (1) We have paid for the 'full' tour package while on our 7 night cruise (also staying in Cairo & Red Sea), but know that there will also be extra tours. Did you do any e.g. Abu Simbel or Karnak at night and if so , were they worth it. (2) Did you pay for wifi on the boat and was it worth it ? (3) I know that you said you had to pay up front for tips and we have been made aware of this, so apart from people off the ship, did you feel obliged to tip any staff on the ship at all ? Thanks again, we're very much looking forward to our trip.

@@stevenleigh1283 Abu Simbel is a absolute must do it's a early start and long trip but it is worth it 100% don't miss out on it. , Karnak is a fantastic temple, and the sound and light show on the evening trip is fabulous. We have been on 7 Nile cruises and have visited Egypt over 10 times so have done most things including the hot air balloon over valley of the kings which is great 👍 and you can book on the cruise , tipping is away of life in Egypt, so yes we tipped everyone personally on the ship, 🚢 waiters, bar staff, cabin steward, and also the tour guide and there bus drivers, I tip in Egyptian currency, but all currency is welcome £$€¥. If you can get hold of 1 dollar bills they are great for little tips, coins eg £1 €1 are difficult for Egyptians to change into Egyptian cash, they are taken greatfuly but prefer dollar bills or Egyptian cash. One other thing is take some Idodium ( or other products) with you for upset stomach better safe than sorry hopefully you won't need it, but it happens a lot no matter how careful you might be. 👍😎 You will have a great holiday.. forgot to say WiFi we didn't bother with it.

I think it's just luck 🤞

We lived and worked in Kato Paphos for many years then retired to the village of Tala where we still have a holiday home and visit very often, so different to city life in the UK (where we are based now)
