@@georgebarabas unfortunately the MS is the weak link in the chain... it provide a "strange" tonal character, although the rotary effect of a real miked horn is better than any digital simulation 😂🤣

Yes, 100% agree. But price is great for a 16 voices analog synth. By the way, my new OBX8 does not sound fat as my old Matrix 1000 too 😂😊

Ciao, the Vortex has a good bass presence (if you listen with good headphones or studio monitors you can feel it 👍). Here it was just miked with a stereo zoom recorder, in order to give a overall idea of the sound 👍

@@JC-td4gg as you can see from this video (and the other videos of this series) there are no vibration in fast speed. the mechanical noise of horn and rotor are really negligible (less than the noise of a regular vintage leslie 🙂).

@@marcoballa I was asking from a video of Delroy Wright that had a Vortex owner that had a shaking and rattle noise in his Vortex and he sent it back, he still was talking about the shaking. Even the 3300 and a 145 will shake a bit in fast mode. I just bought a used Vortex from Kraft and I asked them about that and for them to check it out before shipping out. Delroy said it was a bearing problem and that Viscount was aware of it.

I have my Soul 273 now running thru my 3300W speaker and it sounds so good. Will be buy ing the Vortex 315 in the future. Will see how it sounds with the foot bass!

@@JC-td4gg I have the 3300W too in studio. Great huge bass presence (maybe too much for my rock/blues use 😁🤣). If you need to take it around for frequent gigs the Vortex could be the right compromise (I have the tube amped Tornado, same project by Silvio Della Mattia, same dimensions, easy to load by yourself on a small city car)

@@MrKersey yessss agree. Maybe the right price range should be a little lower (now at that price you can find other interesting and very good sounding synths), as Mr. Uli announced some months ago. So we can wait for the price to come down 😁🤣

Ciao, as you can hear from these examples, the internal leslie simulation is good enough for this machine. Really effective considering the price range 👍 Obviously not comparable with a dedicated last generation organ clone...

Hey again Marco!! :D Hope all is well! I'm just curious, will you be covering the other SRX cards from the Integra 7? As far as I know, no one on KZfaq has done a solid well recorded/played playthru of SRX 09 World Collection. It's such an interesting card packed with a ton of rare ethnic instruments that are sometimes hard to find good quality versions of in keyboards today. Usually one would have to painstakingly track down a good VST, so it's really cool to have them all in one place, and in a much higher resolution than in the older lower fidelity SRX cards. Would love to hear what that card sounds like from the Interga 7 if you get a chance! :)

Thanks for another great presentation, Marco. Soul has really nice 9-contact emulation and even rotary does sound very good. Don't know what's the engine behind the Viscount, but it sounds very similar to UHL X5 organ.

@@MrKersey thanks to you for comment 👍🤗 Yes, the Soul is still growing, for sound generation and rotary simulation 👍 The internal Viscount Soul generator is the "evolution" of the DLQ KeyB Organ, then of the Viscount Legend, with new features/effectiveness 👍

ciao! the Hotone is just 5watt (solid state). it's perfect for studio recording but NOT for a medium stage gig. maybe it can be useful for a semi-unplugged gig...
