Probably a counterfeit because I’ve had mine for about 10 years and do does my friend snd no rust at all. The real ones are stainless steel and much more expensive than $30. That price is too low for stainless steel.

You need a hard cheese for it to work right. Something like a parmesan.

The rust is caused by the water. It comes off very easy with ajax, soft scrub with a dish cloth. Brings it back brand new. This is with all metal dish drainers.

I've had this item for at least 3 years, maybe longer, and have had no rust issues, it does get "gunky" and needs to be cleaned but definitely not rust.

Have the waste water plumbing sent to a containment unit for watering the lawn and plants.

You should have installed it yourself.. Save $$$$$

I've own one for 3 or 4 years . I never had rust. The spots on the stainless steel can be clean by using a dishcloth or paper towel with a bit of oil to clean that. I used olive oil because that's what I had. I love mine.

We haven’t even used it for 1 month and I already saw a bit of rust forming. I personally would not use it for dishes with that much rust on it, it might not be safe in the long term. Thanks for the review!

I’ve done a lot of research & the Oral B 1500 is recommended. It’s $54 on Amazon & 3 yr added warranty $5 something. Says starts after manufacture warranty. Read the 1500 & higher have Lithium battery. My fam of 5 will be using. If it’s too rough on enamel for me, then I’ll get the Phil. Sonicare 3. I hate the sonic cleaning at dentist. Sensitive teeth.
