Thank you Mike and Yvonne, I know the entire Costa Blanca very very well for many years, when I was a child I went fishing at the lighthouse and especially at the Salt Pier, then the marina almost did not exist, it was more of a fishing port and of course a salt loading point for ships. Hi Ian, thanks for watching. In 2006 we chose Turkey over Spain as we didn't feel we could afford Spain at that time, (before the price crash in 2008). We bought a 2-bedroom apartment for £36,500 and sold it in 2017 for £28,000 so not a very good investment. we used the money towards buying our current property in Spain in 2017 which was 59,000€ then, and and now it's worth about 80,000€ so we are now happy with our purchase. Hi, we didn't look too hard, as we were on holiday, but they are still probably slightly cheaper. We sold ours in 2017, (we were there for 10 years). Yes they are bigger on average I would say. The problem for us is the economy is so fragile with inflation very high, we lost lotsof money when we sold it, so Spain is a better option for us. Our Spanish property gas already increased in price from 59,000€ in 2017 to about 80,000€ today.

Hi Eman, yes, we agree, prices have gone up in Turkey and certain businesses have gotten a little more greedy and are making more money off the tourists, especially some bars and some hotels. But bargains can still be found from the honest businesses like Muco and MyBar who make a modest profit and do not rip off the tourists. Prices in Nth Cyprus have flown through the roof. Your mainland prices are much more competitive. I feel that the majority of businesses here are adding a little extra on to the price increase’s. A lot of food prices are now in line with UK costs and in some cases exceed them. Last week, 1kg of lamb mince cost £20! We no longer eat out as many times as we used to and do a lot more entertaining at home. Good luck.

We find out where all the good ones are and stick to them. Let those who can afford to use them do so.
