One of my most cherished memories was going to Powell symphony hall in St. Louis Missouri because my dad said you have to see them live!! 3 generations of trumpet players because of him. RIP dad. Thank you for the beautiful music and memory.

The penultimate piece of music including choreography invites hope, and that your group might one day join the members of the _Kyoto Tachibana S.H.S. Band_ to a special event [ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ec6adKlot5uUZqs.html ]. It's just around the corner (geographically). In the last number, the deception would be perfect if you ducked your heads in between, as the Swingle Singers group used to do at _Flight of the Bumblebee - The Swingle Singers_ [ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ecCfZMJzqdScdas.html ]. I do not know whether you can kill such a 'beast' with a Double High C or D. And also I do not know exactly what the German Animal Welfare Association says about it. They (the animals) are just certainly also among the creatures that need to be protected. Thank you for uploading and sharing this highly enjoyable High Chamber Music concert for free. It is a long time since I heard the Canadian Brass for the first time - in the Radio in l982 in Winnipeg. From there on I had the privilege to visit concerts in Winnipeg and in Basel and Bern. It is wonderful to listen and see them again thrugh youtube, being back in Switzerland since 1084. They are still very good and charming. Elisabeth Rüegger

I play in a few groups including a brass ensemble, and once when we were about to play the fugue, the announcer, who wasn't a musician, proudly announced to the crowd, "And now the ensemble will play "Fug You In De Minor". That got more applause than anything we played.

I Love this Quartet.& have all their recordings including the DG box. Sad to know they are calling it a day from 2023. Teaching & solo stuff from then on - including with David Finkel whom Watkins replaced. JW
