idk why but it feels like every single after effects tutorial that has ever been made doesn't account for anything that could go wrong. I follow instructions to the letter and it just doesn't work and it's driving me insane. Like how come your time*40 expression doesn't just make your planet spin in place? how is it on the ring path? nobody ever says anything like this in tutorials you all act like it just works

Does anyone else's computer goes crazy when adding noise? I need to render few hour long videos and if I add noise my CPU is overworking and I don't like it. Any solution to this? Why is adding noise so costly? P.S. I have i9-13900K with RTX 3080 Ti so no it's not a potato.

yes mines going a bit crazy i also do not have a potato i think it's just a genuine high cpu intensive effect :( PS: you can see when he adds the effect the line above the clip goes red meaning it's a high intensive effect so it'd be everyone having that problem :(((((((((

Also having that issue; my computer is older (GTX 1080), but tends to handle 4k video fine until I add effects like noise. Considering so many pixels are being manipulated in every frame, I don't think there's any way around the fact that it gets choppy on playback. For that reason, I found it easier to make a second sequence and put the first one it, then add the noise filter to the entire sequence.

Good tutorial, but it's not motion blur, it's directional blur. All youtube tutorials show this as motion blur, yes there is motion blur in this effect related to moving in the direction you set. But it is not the true motion blur that is meant when shooting a moving subject. With True Motion Blur, the cars in the clip would blur in the directions they are moving. Directional blur and motion blur are two different things, that's why the effect in premiere pro is called directional and not motion blur.

Instead of spelling character by character the expression, just C/P it in the description and explain what it exactly does in the video? Here is the expression for futur viewers: "$" + Math.round(thisComp.layer("Settings").effect("Slider Control")("Slider")) + "%"

Same, all I did to fix it was create an adjustment layer, then add a gaussian blur effect to it with a blurriness of 6.
